    Customer Support Service Technician (MTU Engines)

    Job Description

    • A new opportunity has arisen for a skilled Customer Support Service Technician like you, to oversee and bring expertise to our team.
    • As a Customer Support Service Technician in MTU Singapore, you will primarily be responsible for engine overhaul, repair and troubleshooting related tasks.
    • Rolls-Royce Power Systems is headquartered in Friedrichshafen in southern Germany and employs around 9,000 people. The product portfolio includes mtu-brand high-speed engines and propulsion systems for ships, power generation, heavy land, rail and defence vehicles and for the oil and gas industry as well as diesel and gas systems and battery containers for mission critical, standby and continuous power, combined generation of heat and power, and microgrids.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Undertake the assignments on one's own such as commissioning, installation, maintenance, trouble-shooting and repair/overhaul for MTU engines and associated product
    • Capable of resolving technical matters and completing services according to the works order for acceptance by the customers.
    • Conduct acceptance test of equipment and systems with customers or customer representatives.
    • Carry out repair/adjustment if required.
    • Provide service/investigation reports where applicable.
    • Prepare and submit travel report on work progress as well as completion of project.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
    • At least 2 – 3 years of experience in the diesel engine/generator industry.
    • Experience in troubleshooting, project handling/execution, servicing and commissioning.
    • Communicates effectively, has a strong initiative and ability to work under pressure.
    • Possess logical and analytical skills
    • Highly independent, and an excellent team player.
