    Relationship Manager

    Job Description / Core Duties

    • Cross-sell all the financial products of the Group: - Liability generation, Loans and Leases, Shares/Stocks/Bonds (Federal, State & Corporate), Treasury Bills, FGN Savings Bonds, FX etc.
    • Formulate and implement a strategy to increase the pool of HNIs the Group transacts with
    • Pitch for business relationships with Local corporations, PFA’s, Insurance companies, and other non-financial Institutions (Institutional Sales & Marketing) etc.
    • Manage key relationships with customers to ensure the smooth running of these accounts.
    • Oversee, Supervise and Coordinate an effective online marketing strategy.
    • Development and implementation of service improvement strategies.
    • Attain targeted sales goals, performance targets and customer satisfaction through the effective management of resources.
    • Together with Business Heads, review strategies for all networked customers to enhance business volumes and earnings.
    • Implement marketing strategies to develop an existing portfolio and develop new opportunities.
    • Understand customer needs and provide products and services to satisfy client’s needs and achieve business objectives.
    • Prepare and agree with the line Manager on a call planning to maximize returns in line with business strategy.
    • Provide clients with Investment Advisory services.
    • Develop an executive contact plan and arrange meetings between proposed clients, the head of unit, and the MD.

    Qualifications

    • Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting or other disciplines
    • A second degree and Master’s degree will be an advantage
    • A professional qualification is desirable
    • Minimum of 5+ years hands-on experience with a good sales track record in Institutional sales with an emphasis on Stockbroking, Capital Market, and other Financial Instruments (Treasury bills, Bonds, etc.)

    Job Description

    Position Overview

    • The role involves leading the strategy for capital market transactions, including negotiations, client interactions, and documentation management.
    • Responsibilities encompass providing financial advisory services for companies raising capital and those seeking restructuring.
    • The role includes expertise in mergers and acquisitions, deal structuring, market research, and regulatory compliance.

    Core Duties

    • Develop and present financial models and solutions.
    • Critically evaluate companies’ financial positions before capital raising.
    • Handle valuations, pricing, and regulatory aspects of transactions.
    • Prepare necessary documents like prospectuses and information memorandums.
    • Coordinate with other professionals in transactions.
    • Market capital market transactions to potential clients.
    • Stay updated on financial market trends and legislation.
    • Address client complaints and provide analytical support.
    • Support research and publication of various financial reports and updates.
    • Coordinate departmental activities and team members.
    • Manage departmental budgets.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting or Business Administration
    • Possession of a postgraduate academic or professional qualification in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage
    • Minimum of 6 years of experience preferably in research, quantitative analysis, and/or financial reporting
    • Previous experience within the Capital Markets Industry will be an added advantage
    • Broad knowledge and interest in financial services in general, and in Capital Markets in particular
    • Broad knowledge and understanding of the operations of the financial sector is required.
    • Proven ability and desire to read extensively.

    Knowledge Required:

    • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
    • Understanding of finance transformation, performance management, financial systems, and investment banking instruments.
    • Familiarity with processes in investment banking and market infrastructure.

    Core Skills:

    • Strategy development and leveraging Microsoft Office for communication and presentations.
    • Data processing for innovative solutions in finance functions.
    • Business vision development and complex project management.
    • Client relationship management and effective communication.
    • Team leadership, fostering trust, and coaching.

    Other Skills and Abilities:

    • Excellent report writing, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
    • High professionalism, problem-solving abilities, flexibility, and minimal supervision.
