    Education Project Officer

    The opportunity

    The purpose of this role is to co-ordinate and implement the ECHO project titled “Enhancing access to learning opportunities and protection outcomes for children through provision of quality integrated education and child protection services and strengthening community level mechanisms resulting in a safer environment for children and their families in targeted LGAs Borno state” in line with international best practices, sectoral standards and relevant guidelines. The post holder is expected to have strong integrated programming, including; Education, protection, and GBV background and knowledge.

    About You

    We are looking for applicant with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Education, Social Science, Social Work, Psychology, or related fields and NYSC discharged or certificate of exemption.

    The preferred candidate should possess at least a minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in Education in Emergency settings as well as good knowledge and understanding of DO NO HARM principles, and established international child protection standards (especially UNCRC). Experience with participatory approaches to education, emergency preparedness, crisis/emergency relief management, or other related area.

    S/he must possess strong ability to independently, organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to details. Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, creativity and flexibility is essential. Ability to speak kanuri is an added advantage.
