    Quality Control Officer

    Job Summary:

    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
    • He/She will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence by implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and addressing any issues that may arise during the manufacturing process. 

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure consistency and adherence to industry standards.
    • Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products to identify any defects or deviations from specifications.
    • Work closely with the production team to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
    • Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality control procedures, product specifications, and best practices for maintaining quality standards.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure that raw materials meet quality requirements, conducting audits and evaluations as necessary.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and quality management systems.
    • Ensure quality checks are conducted and carried out at every stage of production and implement corrective actions to address deviations from quality standards.
    • Minimize and ultimately eradicate clients’ complaints on products and delivery times.
    • Investigate and resolve any product quality issues or customer complaints, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards, including health and safety requirements, environmental regulations, and product safety guidelines.
    • Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction levels to identify any recurring quality issues and implement corrective actions to address them.
    • Work closely with other departments, including production, design, engineering, and sales, to maintain open communication and ensure alignment on quality objectives.

    Requirements 

    • B.Sc./ HND in engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance or a related field
    • Minimum of 3 years experience 
    • Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance roles within the manufacturing industry, preferably in furniture manufacturing.
    • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and methodologies.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
    • Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with quality management systems is a plus.
    • Certification in quality control or quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor) is desirable.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of federal and industry standards and best practices
    • Understanding of target market and consumer needs
    • Adaptable to work in a fast-paced environment
