    Financial Accountant

    Key Job Functions

    • Summarize current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other financial reports.
    • Ensure that all financial records containing stock and inventory, customer’s purchases, debts and other details across all locations are updated.
    • Escalate to management possible threats related to high customer debt profile and other discrepancies.
    • Analyse trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses.
    • Report the organization's finances to management and offer suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
    • Perform month-end and year-end close processes
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
    • Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
    • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
    • Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions and ensuring that accurate sales records, debts and customer details are well captured.
    • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
    • Secure financial information by completing database backups.
    • Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
    • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
    • Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations.
    • Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
    • Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
    • Responsible for tax management, including filing.
    • Responsible for customer account reconciliation and accounts receivables.
    • Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
    • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc., MSc in Accounting.
    • Possession of an MBA will be an added advantage.
    • Membership of a Professional body- ACCA, ICAN etc.
    • Minimum of 5 years working experience
    • Excellent Computer Knowledge especially Excel, and Google Drive.
    • Excellent knowledge of Accounting Software ERP, and SAGE EVOLUTION is a guaranteed plus.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Good problem-solving skills.
    • High ethical standards and integrity.
    • Excellent planning and organizing skills.
    • Strong leadership personality and communications skills.
    • Good accounting knowledge.

    Job Summary

    • Under the supervision of the Regional Sales Lead/Marketing Manager, the sales executive will work directly on the field to develop and execute marketing and business strategies to maximize profitability, improve the organization's market position and achieve financial growth.
    • You will provide the marketing information that will translate to building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating, and closing business deals.
    • You will maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions and help achieve expected sales targets.

    • Perform cost-benefit, marketing intelligence and competitive and needs analysis of existing and potential customers to meet their needs.
    • Recommend new opportunities and service improvements.
    • Visiting customers and potential customers to evaluate needs and/or promote new Salpha Energy products.
    • Assist Management and the finance department to determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions and negotiations based on research done.
    • Liaise with the finance department to reconcile stock and products supplied.
    • Present market updates based on existing and potential customers' needs and research scale done.

    Customer Service/Relations:

    • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
    • Ensure smooth delivery of products to customers within your region of operation and across Nigeria where necessary.
    • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
    • Perform any other duties that may be assigned.

    Requirements / Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Economics, Business Administration or any Social Sciences related fields.
    • 3-5 years experience in sales and Business Development especially in FMCG companies.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to close sales.
    • Good computer knowledge especially Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to work with little or no supervision.
    • Good knowledge of sales techniques.
    • Good knowledge of the job location and its environs as well as its business potential.
    • Excellent knowledge of B2B and B2C business models.
