    Sales and Distribution SME

    Job Description:

    • Airtel maintains an ecosystem of systems supporting our sales processes, to run our operations towards partners and sales channels.
    • We are currently in need of an experienced engineer, responsible for supporting our Sales and Distribution stack, and its ancillary tools and utilities.
    • The engineer in this role, will support applications towards the management of our Sales and Distribution Hierarchy. Services managed, will include, but not limited to digital recharge & channel partner systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    Application Support:

    • Provide technical support for sales and distribution applications, ensuring uninterrupted functionality.
    • Respond promptly to user inquiries, addressing issues and resolving problems in a timely manner.

    Troubleshooting:

    • Diagnose and resolve application-related issues, coordinating with internal technical teams and external vendors if necessary.
    • Investigate and analyze root causes of problems to prevent recurrence.

    User Training:

    • Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their understanding of sales and distribution applications.
    • Create and maintain user documentation and training materials.

    System Maintenance:

    • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and system configurations, to ensure optimal performance.
    • Collaborate with IT teams to implement changes and improvements as needed.

    Integration System:

    • Work with other teams to support the integration of sales and distribution applications with other systems within the organization.
    • Ensure seamless data flow and communication between different applications.

    Customization and Enhancement:

    • Collaborate with the development team to customize and enhance sales and distribution applications based on user feedback and evolving business requirements.
    • Test and implement new features and functionalities.

    Performance Monitoring:

    • Monitor the performance of sales and distribution applications, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
    • Recommend and implement optimizations to improve system efficiency.

    Collaboration with Stakeholders

    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and distribution teams to understand business processes and requirements.
    • Act as a liaison between end-users and the technical team to ensure alignment with business needs.

    Incident Management:

    • Manage and prioritize incidents, working with a sense of urgency to resolve critical issues.
    • Document incident resolutions and contribute to the development of a knowledge base.

    Reporting and Analytics:

    • Generate and analyze reports to provide insights into application usage, performance, and user behavior.
    • Use data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.

    Head IT Governance & Strategy

    Job Description:

    • The IT Governance & Strategic Manager will oversee and ensure the effective alignment of IT strategies with the overall business goals of an organization. He/she is responsible for establishing and maintaining IT governance frameworks, managing IT risk and compliance, and driving strategic initiatives to optimize IT performance.
    • The role involves developing and implementing IT policies, processes, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency, mitigate risks, and support the organization's strategic objectives.
    • He/she also collaborates with stakeholders to identify and prioritize IT investments, manage budgets, and monitor the performance of IT projects.
    • Overall, an IT Governance & Strategic Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that IT resources are utilized effectively to drive business growth and innovation.

    Responsibilities:

    The IT Governance Officer is responsible for:

    • Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures: responsible for creating and maintaining a set of guidelines that outline how IT operations should be conducted within the company. This includes policies related to data security, access control, and compliance with industry regulations.
    • Ensuring compliance and risk management: responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with IT policies and procedures. This involves conducting regular audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks to the company's IT infrastructure.
    • Managing IT controls: implementing and maintaining controls to protect the company's data and systems. This includes managing user access controls, implementing security measures such as firewalls and encryption, and monitoring for any unauthorized activities or breaches.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams: work closely with other teams within the company, such as legal, finance, and operations, to ensure that IT initiatives align with the overall business objectives. This collaboration helps to ensure that IT governance practices are integrated into the company's overall strategy.
    • Continuously improving IT governance practices: responsible for identifying areas of improvement within the IT governance framework and implementing changes to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of IT operations. This includes staying up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies.

    Required Skills:

    • The IT Governance & Strategic Manager must possess the following:
    • Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and best practices.
    • Ability to develop and implement IT strategies aligned with business goals.
    • Proficiency in risk management and compliance.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
    • Knowledge of IT project management methodologies
    • Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive strategic decision-making.
    • Proficiency in IT budgeting and financial management.
    • Understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on business.
    • Continuous learning and adaptability to stay up to date with industry trends.
    • Excellent presentation skills and analytics skills.

    Experience & Educational Qualification:

    • University degree (Engineering or Computer Science, Business Management).
    • Evidence of continuous professional and personal learning and development.
    • Minimum of eight (8) years’ relevant experience in similar role.
