    Sales Manager [Expat]

    Position Overview:

    • The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales operations, developing and implementing sales strategies, and nurturing client relationships to achieve sales targets.
    • This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele and showcase the finest in luxury interiors.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand market share and achieve revenue targets.
    • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to maximize their potential and exceed sales goals.
    • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, interior designers, and industry professionals to drive business growth and brand loyalty.

    • Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

    • Trade Shows and Events: Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities to showcase our brand and generate leads.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA preferred.
    • Proven track record of success in sales management, preferably in the luxury furniture or interior design industry.
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Willingness to travel as needed.

    Design Engineer [Steel, Mining, and Constructions ]

    • Lead the design engineering efforts for the foundations segment, developing innovative solutions and driving technical sales growth in West Africa.

    Main tasks

    • Technical design and engineering activities for foundation projects
    • Develop and maintain technical relationships with engineering firms, construction companies, and government agencies
    • Identify and pursue new project opportunities, collaborating with sales teams to develop technical proposals
    • Provide technical training and support to customers and internal teams
    • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, developing and implementing new design solutions and technologies
    • Manage and mentor a team of design engineers, providing guidance and oversight on projects
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, production, and procurement

    Requirements:

    • University degree in Civil Engineering or related field (master's degree preferred)
    • 5+ years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on foundation projects
    • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit)
    • Excellent communication and project management skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Fluent in English (French and/or Portuguese a plus)

    Miscellaneous tasks/roles

    • Risk Management: Apply sound risk management principles to all aspects of projects activities to ensure all risk factors are avoided, mitigated and/or managed in the best interests of ArcelorMittal business, clients and staff. Objective of this is also to reduce the time and cost of change / implementations.
    • Contractual: Support contract development and/or negotiation with clients and suppliers, with a specific focus on the technical aspects of the contract (product specifications, tolerances, ITP, …).

    Technical Sales and Business Development [Steel and Constructions ]

    OBJECTIVE

    • The Technical Sales and Business Development Manager is responsible for developing market opportunities inside the foundations segment.
    • He will contribute to the growth of the segment by opening up new businesses & opportunities through proper and accurate execution, which includes order management, logistics, documentation and all related activities.
    • He/she will be responsible for the commercialization and the technical promotion of all steel foundation products (sheet piles, foundation pipes, foundation beams, accessories) in the respective geographical area.
    • The position may involve international job rotations at any of our global offices worldwide to develop the requisite skills in doing technical designs and commercial offers.
    • In the long term, the position will be based at one of our offices in Africa with regional and international travel, as required.

    Main tasks

    Technical sales

    • Coordinate all technical sales activities with the local sales managers
    • Design activities i.e. actively prepare design proposals to customers and/or evaluate designs made by customers and propose alternatives where possible
    • Technical training to individual customers
    • Advise on installation methodology for foundation applications
    • Organize marketing and educational seminars to larger group of customers on foundation projects related subjects
    • Customer events
    • Lunch & learn initiatives
    • Young engineers day Identify projects / prospects customers (technical approach with main focus on the design / engineering stakeholders).

    Commercial

    • Develop and maintain a strong relationship and network with engineering firms, construction companies, government agencies etc, in order to:
    • Identify new / upcoming projects
    • Introduce new products and solutions
    • Identify and investigate technical market trends
    • Develop, in consultation with the client, innovative foundation solutions on major infrastructure projects
    • Ensure that all involved in the design process are aware of our latest developments
    • Responsible for making offers and project monitoring
    • Make calculations for pricing complex projects
    • Provide insights that feed into the annual budget making process as relates to upcoming projects and expected volumes to book

    Miscellaneous tasks/roles

    • Risk Management: Apply sound risk management principles to all aspects of projects activities to ensure all risk factors are avoided, mitigated and/or managed in the best interests of ArcelorMittal business, clients and staff. Objective of this is also to reduce the time and cost of change / implementations.
    • Contractual: Support contract development and/or negotiation with clients and suppliers, with a specific focus on the technical aspects of the contract (product specifications, tolerances, ITP, …).

    After sales

    • Offer after sales support and handle techno-commercial claims (if necessary, with backup from technical team).

    Communication & interaction with other departments

    • Advises Management on plans and policies, and highlighting consequences and/or required actions.
    • Maintains functional relationship with Sales, Production, Procurement, BD, F&C, QA/QC, Human Resources and IT on matters concerning daily operations, exchange of information, knowledge and experience.
    • Responsible for management reporting.

    Knowledge Requirements and Experience

    • Knowledge of civil engineering, construction industry and trading products including standards, applications, manufacturing and processing, pricing, and calculation methods
    • University degree, preferably in civil engineering. Possession of a master’s degree will be an advantage
    • Good commercial insight
    • Good communicator, able to discuss confidently across a multi cultural environment Wide knowledge of various computer programs such as MS office and ERP packages
    • Relevant experience on installation of piles and or design of FS projects
    • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience
    • Fluent in English language. Fluency in French and/or Portuguese will be an advantage.
