    Bursar

    Job Description

    • The Bursar shall be the Chief Accounting Officer of the College and be responsible to the Provost for the day to day administration and control of the Financial Affairs of the College.
    • He/She shall advise the Provost on finance-related matters, coordinate the development and update the College financial management plans, coordinate the preparation of periodic income and expenditure statements, balance sheet, cash flow estimate and consolidated, when necessary.
    • He/She shall ensure that accurate records are maintained of all assets and liabilities held by the College.
    • The duties shall include monitoring monthly income and expenditure and balance sheet variances against the budgets, and ensure that they are reconciled; monitoring treasury activities including cash flow projections and forecast for prudence and accountability; negotiating with financial and government institutions with regard to financial matters.

    Requirements for the Candidate

    • The candidate for the post of Bursar must possess a minimum of First Degree in Accounting and Finance not below second class lower division or any related discipline with at least fifteen (15) years of cognate experience in the institution of higher learning.
    • The applicant must possess any of the following professionally recognized accountancy qualifications; ANAN, ACA, CIMA, CPA, ACCA, ICAN.

    The candidate is also expected to possess the following:

    • Be not below the rank of Deputy Bursar on CONTIDESS 14, who spent at least three (3) years on the post.
    • Exhibit the ability to be a team leader, who can lead by example, has clear mentorship skills and should not be older than fifty five (55) years of age upon appointment.
    • Enjoy strong physical and mental health.
    • Be computer literate.
    • Have a good working knowledge of contemporary financial management, principles, processes and practices.

    Terms and Conditions of Service Applicable to the Post

    • The Bursar will normally be appointed for a period of four years in the first instance and shall be eligible for re-appointment for a final term of four years only subject to satisfactory performance.
    • The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of Bursar in all Colleges of Education in Nigeria and may be determined from time to time by the State Government / Governing Council of the College.

    Registrar

    Job Description

    • The Registrar shall be the Chief Administrative Officer of the College, Secretary to the Governing Council and the Academic Board.
    • The Registrar is responsible to the Provost for the day to day administration of the College.

    Requirements for the Candidate

    • The candidate for the post of Registrar must possess a minimum of First Degree in Arts or Social Science with at least 2/2, possession of higher degree is an added advantage with at least fourteen (14) years of cognate experience in the institution of higher learning. Additionally, to possess professional membership certificate.

    The candidate is also expected to:

    • Be not below the rank of Deputy Registrar on CONTIDESS 14, who spent at least three (3) years on the post.
    • Exhibit the ability to be a team leader, who can lead by example, has clear mentorship skills and should not be older than fifty five (55) years of age upon appointment.
    • Enjoy strong physical and mental health.
    • Be computer literate.
    • Have a good working knowledge of contemporary administrative principles, processes and practices.

    College Librarian

    Job Description

    • The College Librarian is the Principal Officer of the College.
    • He/She is responsible for all matters relating to the day-to-day management and operations of the College Library.
    • He/She is answerable to the Provost in the discharge of his/her responsibilities in accordance with the provisions of the Law establishing the College.

    Requirements for the Candidate

    • The Candidate for the post of College Librarian must possess a Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) with at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience from institution of higher learning.

    The candidate is expected to possess the following:

    • Not below the rank of Chief Librarian on CONPCASS 15, who has spent at least three (3) on the post.
    • Should not be older than fifty five (55) years of age upon appointment.
    • Have considerable number of scholarly publications in reputable journals
    • Have considerable number of national/international conference
    • Be a member either of the following:
      • Librarian's Registration Council of Nigeria.
      • Nigeria Library Association etc.
    • Be a computer literate and proficient in relevant computer applications as applicable to the running of complex and modern College Library.
    • Registration with TRCN, and demonstrate ability to offer academic/administrative leadership
    • Demonstrable ability to initiate and supervise applied research/project/exhibition.
    • Evidence of community service.

    Director of Works and Services

    Job Description

    • The College Director Works and Services is a Principal Officer in the College.
    • He/She is responsible for all matters relating to the day-to-day management and operations of the College Works Department.
    • He/She is answerable to the Provost in the discharge of his/her responsibilities in accordance with the provisions of the Law establishing the College.

    Requirements for the Candidate

    • The Director of Works and Services must possess a minimum of First Degree with at least 2/2 in Building, Engineering, Quantity Survey, Architecture or related fields, with at least fifteen (15) years cognate experience.
    • Should not be older than fifty-five (55) years of age upon appointment.
    • He/She must be a person of high integrity and demonstrates transparency in public life as well as commend the respect and loyalty of staff of the college and be receptive to new ideas and willing to translate them in to new projects in line with phased physical development plan of the College.
    • He/She must attain the rank of Deputy Director on CONTIDESS 14 who has spent at least three (3) years on the post.
    • He/She must be registered with relevant professional body.
    • Evidence of Community Service
    • He/She must be a literate and proficient in relevant computer applications.

    • The Director of Works will normally be appointed for a period of four years in the first instance and shall be eligible for re-appointment for a final term of four years only subject to satisfactory performance.
    • The remuneration and other conditions of service are as applicable to the post of Director of Works in all Colleges of Education in Nigeria and may be determined from time to time by the State Government / Governing Council of the College.
