    Assistant Inventory Officer - Retail

    Role Overview:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to fill the role of Assistant Inventory Officer. The Assistant Inventory Officer will be responsible for supporting inventory management activities, ensuring accurate stock levels, and optimizing inventory processes to meet company goals.

    Job Functions/Responsibilities

    • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, including stock levels, movements, and discrepancies.
    • Perform regular stock counts and audits to verify inventory accuracy.
    • Assist in receiving, storing, and issuing goods in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
    • Assist in identifying slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate actions.
    • Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure efficient stock flow and minimize stockouts.
    • Assist in implementing inventory control measures to prevent shrinkage and loss.
    • Generate inventory reports and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Assist in resolving inventory-related issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree /HND in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Proven experience in inventory management or a related field.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
