Product Design Lead at Sabi

Job Purpose

• The Lead will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining the UX framework and direction for all user-centric and business-related projects.
• The successful candidate will work closely with our 3rd party agencies, business users, Product, and IT teams to ensure that our digital products deliver optimal user experiences and meet our business goals.
• In addition, the Lead will provide mentorship and leadership to the Product Design team, ensuring the team is productive and aligned with the companys strategic objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Function as a UX Business Partner to the Business and serve as a Product Design Expert in your domain toward the business.
• Carry out and/or lead through all stages (discovery to in-market) of the visual and service design process.
• Create the framework for UX design through various techniques and focuses like personas, usability studies and research.
• Spearhead UX design and define UX direction for projects using appropriate tools such as sketches, workflows, wireframes, interaction specifications.
• Drive optimal user experiences and user-centered designs through a holistic lens of usability, research, customer feedback, site analytics, strategic importance, time to market and measurable business goals.
• Critique others’ creative work, offering direction for improving quality, consistency, or strategy.
• Must be willing and able to accept and work within existing design styles and conventions, and to prioritize function over form to meet critical deadlines while still providing end user delight.
• Document the future state UI/UX requirements.
• Work with business users to design a UI that streamlines data entry, eliminates excessive clicking, balances content and navigation, integrates multiple data sources and is optimized for dual screens.
• Lead, define and strategize the Information architecture and service design of experiences in the organization as the design team.
• Lead and conduct user experience surveys/interviews with business users and revise designs based on gathered feedback.
• Collaborate with Product, Business, and others to design and implement a UI/UX solution ensuring alignment and that we are leveraging best practices.
• Advocate excellence in Design Practice, ensuing visibility of product design across the product function and create a space for collaboration with deep understanding of the domains your team operates in
• The majority of your role will be focused on technology products, and where necessary, you will also deliver service change, process change and development of new customer experiences.
• You will need to confidently communicate and clearly articulate with business stakeholders and sponsors in order to be successful.
