Product Designer at Veegil Media

Responsibilities:

• The Product Designer will be responsible for the mobile and other non-web apps, user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of our various digital assets, product strategy and development.
• You will ensure that all elements of the online user experience are optimized for improved usability, usefulness, and exceptional visual design.
• The Product designer will also cross function with stakeholders including engineering, design, and marketing, to bring product strategy to market and own the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct competitive analyses of other websites that operate in the same space
• Investigating user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets
• Prepare customer analyses based on our target demographic and initial transactions
• Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and predict user behavior
• Participate in creating the content development strategy - developing stories and experiences to drive user engagement
• Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand.
• Conduct market research and analyze customer needs to inform product development strategy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and marketing, to bring product strategy to market
• Define product roadmaps, prioritizing features and ensuring timely product delivery
• Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates products in the market
• Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to end of product life cycle.
• Track product performance and make data-driven decisions to drive continuous improvement
• Communicate product vision and strategy to stakeholders and ensure alignment across the organization
• Ensure customer success in their use of our products and services

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree or HND in Computer Science or other related field required
• Experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role for digital products or services
• Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Sketch, InVision, Visio, HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android, and Design Systems
• Superior knowledge of all Adobe products, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
• Advanced understanding of the C2C marketplace and the functions of auction and e-commerce websites
• 3 years of experience in product development and management
• Customer Relationship Management Experience
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and product development tools (e.g. Jira, Asana, Trello, GitLab)
