    Project Director

    • As a Project Coordinator in a real estate and construction firm, your primary responsibility is to facilitate the successful execution of various projects from inception to completion.
    • You will act as a liaison between different teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with the established timeline, budget, and quality standards. Your organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively will be crucial in streamlining project workflows and maintaining client satisfaction

    Responsibilities

    • Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, and resource requirements. Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
    • Documentation Management: Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, plans, and correspondence. Organize and archive project files for easy access and reference.
    • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the main point of contact for project-related inquiries from clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Facilitate regular meetings and updates to keep all stakeholders informed of project progress, milestones, and any potential issues.
    • Resource Allocation: Assist in resource allocation by coordinating with procurement teams to acquire necessary materials, equipment, and services. Monitor resource utilization to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
    • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure that work meets specified standards and regulations. Conduct inspections and audits as necessary to identify and address any deviations from requirements.
    • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and obstacles that may impact project delivery. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and minimize disruptions.
    • Budget Tracking: Monitor project expenses and expenditures, comparing them against budget allocations. Report any variances and deviations to project managers for corrective action.
    • Client Relations: Foster positive relationships with clients by addressing their concerns, providing regular updates on project status, and seeking feedback to ensure satisfaction. Act as an advocate for the client within the organization, advocating for their needs and preferences.
    • Team Support: Provide administrative support to project teams, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and compiling reports. Offer assistance with task prioritization and workload management as needed.
    • Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices for future projects. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technologies to enhance project management processes.

    Qualifications

    • A Degree holder in Civil Engineering, COREN Certified with at least ten years work experience in constructions spanning across buildings,bridges, roads, tents etc.
    • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively liaising with stakeholders, facilitating meetings, and documenting project details.
    • Organization: Strong organizational skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks, documents, and deadlines simultaneously. Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining accuracy in project documentation.
    • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose effective solutions in a timely manner. Proactive problem-solving skills are essential for overcoming challenges and ensuring project success.
    • Team Collaboration: Capability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and clients to achieve common project goals. A positive attitude and the ability to build rapport with team members are valuable assets.
    • Time Management: Proficiency in prioritizing tasks, managing time effectively, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Strong time management skills are necessary to ensure project milestones are achieved on schedule.
    • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools is advantageous. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is typically required.
    • Critical Thinking: Capacity to analyze project requirements, anticipate potential risks, and develop strategic plans to mitigate them. Critical thinking skills are essential for making informed decisions and adapting to changing project conditions.
    • Certifications: While not always mandatory, obtaining certifications in project management, such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), can enhance credibility and demonstrate proficiency in project coordination.
    • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with real estate and construction industry practices, regulations, and standards is beneficial. A basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and terminology is advantageous for effectively communicating with project teams and stakeholders.
