    Head of Spiritual Development/ Discipleship (L&D Specialist)

    • As Head of Discipleship/Spiritual development, you will help members to grow in their faith, to grow in maturity and wisdom, and build their faith on a strong foundation so that they can then disciple and lead others towards achieving the goal/objective of the church and report directly to Head of church Ministry.

    Job Responsibility

    • Lead and design, oversees and administers spiritual development learning opportunities.
    • Develop spiritual development curriculum in line with the vision & mission of the church, and facilitate the training of both ministry, and maturity teams in line with approved curriculum
    • Coordinate effectively and efficiently Ministry, and Maturity teams by developing plans, objectives, programs and processes as well as provide support that helps to achieve the mission of these teams.
    • You will be responsible for the growth, development, management, and expansion of the volunteer workforce.
    • Creating serving opportunities and deploying them to fill these positions.
    • Develop and recruit leaders and volunteers to serve on ministry teams.
    • Coordinate the staffing and work of church committees.
    • You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies, structures, systems and processes that enable the all-round growth of team members
    • Ensure departmental small groups are created and functional within the workforce. Also liaises with the Small Groups Coordinator to achieve set goals.
    • Responsible for a viable, vibrant and enviable workforce, providing adequate support and guidance to the respective ministries.
    • Oversee the budget for the discipleship ministry of the church.
    • Ensure and facilitate the submissions of reports by subordinate offices in respect to and not limited to progress made on projects, plans and programs to Director Church Ministry.
    • Also maintain and update the workforce database.
    • Talent sourcing & discovery
    • Perform other duties assigned

    Qualification / Requirements

    • HND/BSc/MSc in Human resource, or any other related program
    • Atleast 5 -10 years of relevance work experience in a Learning and development is compulsory
    • Must be able to develop curriculum / product development
    • Must be 26 – 43 years of age
    • Experience working in a faith-based organization or NGO or any other related institution is an added advantage
    • Good leadership skill/ Ability to influence
    • Skillful delivery of project management to manage Church events ad programs
    • You should be a committed born-again Christian, with a personal and active relationship with God.
    • Must have valid ability to work within budgetary constraints.
    • An effective, collaborative team leader who is able to mobilize and bring the best out of the team they work with.
    • Accurate report writing skill
    • Proficient in Microsoft packages – MS word, Excel & PowerPoint

    Mission Coordinator

    • We require the service of Mission Coordinator.
    • You will be responsible for ensuring that there is growth and expansion of the volunteer workforce fostering togetherness. You will assist the church by providing adequate support and guidance to the respective ministries
    • The mission coordinator is often the key to opening the door to cross-cultural and global mission involvement for the church.
    • The goal of this person is to mobilize their local church generally, and individuals in specific ways to engage with Harvesters global mission.
    • You will be the vital link between the local church, mission agencies, the missionary and the church overseas and report to the Campus Administrator.

    Job responsibilities

    • Mentoring potential cross-cultural workers and mobilisers
    • Being the link, or appointing other to be the links, between the local church, mission agencies and individual missionaries/projects
    • Provide welfare for our volunteer force and manage people issues, conflicts etc.
    • You will be responsible for planning workers meeting bi-monthly.
    • Maintain and update workforce database and submit weekly report
    • You will be responsible for the training and deployment of leaders
    • You will be responsible for starting new departments in church
    • You will be responsible for the planning and executing the workforce recruitment campaign
    • Ensure departmental small groups are created and functional within the workforce.
    • Also liaises with the Small Groups Coordinator to achieve set goals
    • Perform another task assigned

    Qualification /Requirements

    • HND/BSc/MSc in any relevant field
    • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in youth or church ministry & evangelism
    • At least 32 – 42 years of age
    • Knowledge of and ability to express principles of the Gospel, salvation, mission, culture
    • You must have an on the field experience in missions, preferably in a fast-paced faith-based organization or renowned NGO is an added advantage
    • Sales & marketing experience is an added advantage
    • You must be a charismatic communicator
    • You must possess a unique ability to relate with people from all backgrounds
    • You must have the ability to brainstorm creatively, apply conceptual strategy, and carry out day-to-day projects through completion. You can think outside the box while still staying true to the vision & mission of Harvesters
    • You must be an energizer. others are inspired to action with your enthusiasm and you rarely run out of steam.
    • Must posses project management/ event management skill
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point), Adobe Acrobat, and social media web platforms.
