    Talent Sourcing and Branding Manager

    Your role will include:
     

    • Leading a team to deliver a roadmap of projects (Employer Branding, DEI, Recruitment Training, Process Management & hiring success) using innovative and scalable solutions to hiring as we go through a period of significant growth.
    • Act as a partner to our senior stakeholders bringing an expert point of view to how an organisation builds a culture of exceptional talent.
    • Use data driven analytical approaches to solve problems and innovate.

    In this role you will:

    • Lead a team of data driven talent experts who are responsible for ensuring that our hiring teams are selecting game changing talent for our organisation.
    • Drive data backed approaches to projects that enable us to develop our hiring processes focussed on selecting exceptional talent.
    • Oversee our operational performance on hiring, ensuring we have the right teams in place in the business to hire that drive our processes forward against a clear set of KPIs and deliverables.
    • Bring an expert point of view talent attraction with ability to train the business on sourcing, competency based interviewing and driving our process.
    • Ensure our Employer Branding and DEI initiatives support and drive an inclusive environment for our people.
    • Passionately conduct in-depth behavioral interviews providing considerable insights into motivations and behaviours of candidates as part of our interview process.
    • Review our assessment effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.
    • Build key relationships with global Hiring Leadership stakeholders to drive our hiring agenda.
    • Be seen as a thought leader on talent initiatives with an inherent belief that past performance predicts future success.

    What we are looking for in you

    • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in psychology/industrial psychology, or a compelling narrative about your alternative chosen path, together with an exceptional academic track record throughout your education years.
    • Proven management experience inspiring and leading talent teams to deliver against strategic hiring initiatives.
    • Excellent project management skills to lead roadmaps, including driving efficiency and delivering results.
    • Experience of running and providing stakeholder training talent topics such as competency based interviews and sourcing.
    • Experience of driving employer branding initiatives, candidate experience and DEI.
    • Strong analytical mindset with evidence of where you use data to answer problems/questions to drive change.
    • A thought leader in the talent space with the ability to influence best practice, bringing a solid point of how to build a high performance organisation.
    • Experience of using and interpreting psychometric assessments to examine candidate drivers.
    • Proven ability of working with senior stakeholders to drive a professional outlook on hiring talent as well as challenge the status quo.
    • A sense of urgency with results driven approaches to deliver business critical projects
    • Willingness to travel internationally up to 4 times a year for internal team and company events.

    Head of Organisational Development

    You will lead one part of a wider People team, a cross-disciplinary group of organisational psychologists, engineers, statistics / analytics experts, talent science and employee relations specialists. We are recruiting globally, and believe we are bringing in outstanding new colleagues in a way that is fearlessly global. Naturally, they come from a wide range of backgrounds, norms and experiences, and our goal in setting up the Org Dev team is simply to lead the leaders to a position of consistent clarity on who we are, how we roll, and how that changes over time.

    What your day will look like

    • Develop and implement an inspiring and comprehensive talent development and culture strategy
    • Host our ongoing discussion about management practices, skills, habits and perspectives
    • Deliver an exceptional experience for aspiring and existing leaders who want to become trusted Canonical managers
    • Own the renewal and activation of values internally and externally
    • Create and implement leadership performance indicators and metrics
    • Design, develop, and run management curricula
    • Own our management skills matrix for performance management, talent assessment, succession planning, mentorship, virtual learning and career development.
    • Lead engagement survey focus groups and change initiatives
    • Set up a company learning framework for training
    • Build and manage a new team of organisational development specialists
    • Analyze data and leading trends to better understand career development
    • Own Canonical's personal development budget, currently US$ 2,000 per person

    Cloud Support Associate Engineer

    What your day will look like

    • Work from your remote home office and provide technical support for employees.
    • Be available to take ownership of new cases via telephone, email and web
    • Act as an internal customer advocate keeping them updated in a timely manner
    • Ensure that each support case owned by you is handled according to our Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the highest possible customer satisfaction by setting the right expectations and fulfilling your commitments.
    • Contribute new knowledge base articles and maintain existing articles, ensuring shared knowledge and lessons learned are available to customers.
    • Draft and distribute technical notices for internal and external communication.
    • Prioritise your work in order to accomplish the most important and urgent tasks first
    • Keep on learning as our products and services grow and evolve
    • Understanding Ubuntu development process to be able to set customer expectations correctly on timeline for a fix.
    • Maintain regular communication and information exchange with the rest of the team, locally and remotely
    • Identify and suggest any opportunities to provide a better service
    • Participate in a regular weekend working rotation.

    What are we looking for in you

    • Bachelors or equivalent four year degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university. Preferable majors: Computer Science, MIS, Electrical Engineering, etc.
    • Experience with Linux troubleshooting (collecting logs and stack traces, fine-tuning by editing configuration files)
    • Experience with Linux server administration
    • Strong knowledge of Cloud computing concepts (provisioning, monitoring, orchestration, etc.)
    • Knowledge or basic hands-on experience on 2 or more of:
      • Virtualization / Cloud
      • Containers
      • Storage technologies
      • Networking (bonding, firewalling, bridging, switching, network file system tuning, MTU issues, etc.
    • Programming fundamentals in any language (bash, Perl, Ruby, Javascript, C or C++, Go)
    • Ability to learn quickly, thrive on change and handle the pressure of a customer facing job
    • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
    • Ability to travel

    Additional skills that you might also bring

    • Experience supporting virtualized environments (KVM, Virtual Box, VMWare)
    • Experience with other open-source desktop technologies
    • Active contribution to open-source projects/forum/code
