    Finishing Supervisor (Construction)

    • As a Finishing Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the finishing phase of construction projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and professionalism.
    • You will work closely with the project manager and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • The ideal candidate for this position will have several years of experience in construction supervision, with a specific focus on finishing work.
    • They should have a strong understanding of finishing materials, processes, and techniques, as well as a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are also essential.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Overseeing project schedules and ensuring tasks are completed on time
    • Resolving finishing construction issues and maintaining a high standard of safety and quality
    • Calculate, monitor and track all materials required for each project ensuring no overruns
    • Liaise with the project manager regarding all adjustments as required, ensuring required materials are ordered in advance in order to meet deadlines.
    • Plan and Communicate scope of work requirements to artisans, review production, quality and ensure implementation
    • Checking technical designs and drawings to ensure that they are followed correctly
    • Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site
    • Checking and preparing site reports as required
    • Perform any other functions requested by the General Managers, Technical Manager or Project Managers.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Diploma or University degree in Construction, Building, Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline.
    • Relevant professional certifications in Engineering or Building are an advantage but not mandatory.
    • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a finishing supervisor, construction, or civil engineering role.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and Adobe Professional.
    • Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards, with a focus on finishing works.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage and coordinate multiple teams and subcontractors, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.

    Site Supervisor (Construction)

    • In this role as Site Supervisor in Lagos.
    • You will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities at construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
    • You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project goals are met and that the construction process is streamlined and efficient.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise the construction works being carried out on site and ensuring the quality is at the required level and delivered on schedule as directed by the Project Manager
    • Interfacing with subcontractors representatives/workers on site to ensure all works are being carried out in line with the approved/relevant drawings and to the required quality
    • Ensuring best work practices are being used and all workers are properly kitted with the essential PPE at all times.
    • Ensuring that all site rules and regulations are strictly adhered to
    • Monitor and report on project progress, including costs, schedule, and quality.
    • Prepare and submit regular project reports to management and other stakeholders.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and codes.
    • Perform any other functions as requested by the Project Manager, General manager and Managing Director.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Civil Engineering, Building or related industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
    • Relevant certifications in Engineering or Building technology are an advantage but not required.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
    • Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.
    • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
    • Proficiency in using computer software, such as AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
