    Unit Head, Workflow and Enterprise Application Development

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Supervise the successful completion of all work assigned to the Workflow & Enterprise Application Development Unit.
    • Assign work to team resources, balancing workload appropriately.
    • Work with EA office to ensure compliance of data and information with defined blueprint and standards.
    • Consult with relevant stakeholders to understand their data and reporting needs.
    • Direct the development of accurate estimates for work request delivery and application support services.
    • Manage an application team to deliver services according to defined service level commitments.
    • Lead the development, building, configuration and unit testing of Workflow & Enterprise Application solutions from conceptualization through stabilization using various computer platforms.
    • Ensure that solutions meet requirements outlined in the design documentation.
    • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in delivery of reports.
    • Review technical constraints and performance issues of Enterprise solutions.
    • Assist in planning the introduction of new application systems.
    • Manage and report on progress of team tasks and objectives.
    • Monitor and measure effectiveness of maintenance and development processes.
    • Manages expectations of the team’s internal and external customers.
    • Communicates clearly the Application team goals, organizational philosophies, and policies and procedures to the Application team.
    • Coordinates and facilitates the creation of Workflow & Enterprise solutions development documentation.
    • Improves the Workflow & Enterprise systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.
    • Provide leadership and technical guidance to reports.
    • Serve as a member of the IT Services and Supplier Relationship Committe.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education:

    • Minimum of a first degree or its equivalent in a business /IT related discipline
    • Masters, MBA or a recognized professional certification will be an added advantage

    Experience

    • 8+ years of experience in designing, developing and delivering solutions
    • 6+ years of management experience with 2+ years spent in senior management role
    • Experience on Enterprise solution architecture and Design
    • Familiarity with Cloud Solution architecture and Design

    Unit Head, Service Management & End User Support

    JOB OBJECTIVE(S)

    • Designing and implementing an IT strategy and road-map across IT ecosystem, with a core objective  to improve the IT service capability enabling the business to achieves their corporate growth strategy
    • To define clear roles, directions, responsibilities, performance requirements and targets for the team. 
    • To provide an operational monitoring of production applications, servers, and network using a combination of monitoring tools to ensure availability and first-rate customer experience
    • Manage the implementation of technology changes impacting operations. These changes may be  associated with new services or modification of existing services. 
    • To ensure the successful delivery of changes and releases to all relevant ICT Services, with responsibility  for change and release management processes.
    • Provides leadership, direction and supervision, and day-to-day operational and technical support to  members of the desktop and media support teams; mentors, coaches and leads; assign task, establishes priorities, monitors, reviews and supervises completion of assignments on time; conducts performance evaluations and initiates corrective actions.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Coordinate customer service operations and find ways to ensure customer retention
    • Encourage growth through technical innovations, have creative control over the IT service delivery,  to improve and enhance customer experience
    • Report on operational performance and suggest improvements
    • Identify, propose and participate in the implementation of new services based on trends, internal  demand (e.g. business plans) and external demand (e.g. regulatory requirements)
    • Continuously monitor and report service levels to ensure responsiveness of IT to business
    • Provide leadership for the enterprise Service Management operations
    • Ensure prompt and effective delivery of all enterprise application to the bank customers Engaged users to obtain business requirements on a timely basis and facilitate prompt  implementation.
    • Lead proactive monitoring, operation, and maintenance of all enterprise applications to support 
    • operations and ensure compliance to relevant standards
    • Manage the desktop computing environment to ensure that laptops, PC’s and other accessed 
    • devices are built and maintained to high standards of performance and security for the bank and the subsidiaries
    • Manages and facilitates prioritization of demand by collaborating with key stakeholders to identify  users’ business requirements for process and service improvement
    • Provide technical support for users across applications and systems; understand user problems /  questions, identify root causes, providing solutions where appropriate, refer unresolved items to  appropriate second level support team.
    • Manage the escalation of issues for resolution at appropriate levels
    • Liaise with the user support teams, and second line support teams to ensure an efficient, seamless  and cost-effective approach to support. Continuous follow up on 2nd level support team to treat  and resolve all escalated issues by sending outstanding open calls on daily basis to all IT support staff
    • Identify, propose and participate in the implementation of new services based on trends, internal  demand (e.g., business plans) and external demand (e.g., regulatory requirements)
    • Continuously monitor and report service levels to ensure responsiveness of IT to business
    • Attain stability across all IT platform by collaborating with Command center team to ensure that 
    • services are monitored, and attention of Service Owners is drawn for prompt resolution
    • Analyze team and individual performance, identify weakness, coach and mentor in the area required. Ensure that each team member performs optimally
    • Lead and develop the team members to support their career growth and contribute to the  achievement of organizational goals
    • To support staff on the roll-out of any agreed processes to be tracked and monitored equally  incorporate any changes that will improve processes to the monitoring catalog
    • Responsible for ensuring staff are properly trained, efficient, and productive
    • Provide technical consultation and advice for enhanced business performance and improvement  benchmarks to a range of decision makers JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Senior Analyst, Database Management

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manage the database administrators to ensure that Installation and configuration of relevant  network components for database consistency and integrity
    • Secures database by developing policies, procedures, and controls.
    • Ensuring all the data complies with legal and international regulations
    • Maintains database results by setting and enforcing standards and controls.
    • Prepares for database expansion by studying plans and requirements; advising senior technical management; coordinating design and programming.
    • Keeps senior technical management informed by preparing reports on system performance and problems.
    • Manage and develop checklists for the Installation and configuration of oracle and SQL  databases following OEMs best practice
    • Use database management system software and tools to investigate problems and collect  performance statistics and create reports for capacity management.
    • Carries out routine configuration/installation and reconfiguration of database and related products.
    • Respond to and resolve database issues Oracle and SQL and escalate to the OEMs as need arises
    • Perform routine performance tuning on the bank’s databases while ensuring high levels of data availability, integrity and confidentiality
    •  Develop a monitoring tools for database growth on a weekly basis to generate Utilization 
    • Statistics for Capacity Planning and business continuity Management Liaise with other application team leads in ensuring optimal performance of the applications  through an effective database management
    • Management of the bank’s Enterprise backup and Recovery system while ensuring that  adequate backup of data is taken and readily available for recovery and restoration in line  with the bank’s information security policy
    • Ensure all Changes to the Configuration of the databases followed strictly the bank’s change  management process and in line with the bank’s information security policy
    • Ensure proper documentation of all databases infrastructure processes/procedures in the  Departmental Standard of Operation Document

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education 

    • Minimum Education: First Degree in numerate discipline; Higher Degrees/Professional 
    • Certifications (an added advantage)

    Experience 

    • Minimum experience – 8+ years relevant experience in database administration and  management with at least 2 years in leadership position
