    Membership and Partnership Officer

    JOB OVERVIEW:

    Our client in a private sector of resources for the enhancement of health outcomes in Nigeria is seeking a motivated membership and partnerships officer with a focus on sponsorship expertise. This role involves cultivating and managing relationships with existing members, attracting new partners, and overseeing sponsorship initiatives to drive their mission forward.

    Applicants should have a membership with Ikoyi Club, Polo Club, Lagos State Club, Airlines, Philanthropies, and Financial institutions.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.

     Membership Engagement:

    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with the organization's current members.
    • Identify opportunities to enhance the value proposition for existing members.
    • Coordinate membership events and activities to foster a sense of community.

    Partnership Development:

    • Research and identify potential partners aligned with the organization's goals.
    • Develop and implement strategies to attract new partnerships.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to create mutually beneficial partnerships.

    Sponsorship Management:

    • Drive sponsorship initiatives to support the organization's programs and projects.
    • Develop sponsorship proposals and presentations for potential partners.
    • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of sponsorship commitments.

    Communication:

    • Communicate the organization's mission and impact effectively to potential partners.
    • Collaborate with the communications team to highlight sponsorship successes.

    Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of memberships and partnerships.
    • Generate regular reports on sponsorship activities and outcomes.

    REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATION

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in membership management and partnership development.
    • Demonstrated success in securing sponsorships for events or initiatives.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

    Job Objective

    To provide strategic business direction and ensure business growth, profitability, and effectiveness in business performance to maximize and sustain shareholder value. Additionally, the incumbent will drive and ensure quality of outputs, business sustainability, operational excellence, revenue growth, and client satisfaction in line with the organization’s strategic objectives.

    Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

    • Cultivate and coordinate regular discussions with the visioner, the senior leadership and the Board to understand the organization’s business strategies and work collaboratively with the team to deliver on its objectives.
    • Provide strategic direction and oversight to the team to drive the organization and various business units/operations toward profitable and sustainable growth.
    • Lead products roadmap and build discussions based on clients’ needs with senior leadership, and proactively respond to the market.
    • Actively engage with key stakeholders in legal and other specialized publishing programs to develop, drive, and implement the company's growth strategies.
    • Coordinate the design, planning, and implementation of corporate training programs for the business affiliates and other external key stakeholders.
    • Liaise with external training providers to compare pricing structure and service deliverables for the organization.
    • Identify and close strategic up-selling opportunities by understanding its core clients’ needs and developing tactical approaches to meeting them.
    • Lead the development and operationalizing of revenue and operating budgets and other financial systems to ensure the profitability of the company.
    • Responsible for the approval of the company's product pricing and positioning.
    • Regularly prepare and review the company performance reports with the visioner and the Board.
    • Mentor and manage individuals in the organization.
    • Contribute to the Organization’s culture of excellence.
    • Create an enabling environment that empowers the team to develop the capability to achieve set goals and objectives and proactively respond to opportunities and challenges in the business environment.

    Requirements

    Experience

    • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience with at least 4 years at an executive or management level in a publishing firm.
    • Understanding the book publishing or publication industry is very important.
    • Experience as an online Publisher, ad network, ad exchange, ad server, SEM platform, DSP, or other online advertising role.
    • Existing relationships with decision-makers at tier 1 law firms is a plus.

    Educational Qualification

    • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in social or management sciences
    • Advanced degree in Marketing, Finance, or an MBA
