    Project Coordinator

    The Role

    Based in Abuja, Nigeria, the FSSP Project Coordinator tasks include but are not limited to the following:

    • Facilitating communication between stakeholders to clarify requirements or resolve any queries;
    • Ensuring administrative oversight of service rendered and quality assurance of their deliverables;
    • Ensuring the quality of the reporting and invoicing for services rendered;
    • Coordinating project activities with stakeholders;
    • Administering the provision of logistical services, such as travel arrangements and event planning;
    • Arranging and confirming meetings;
    • Booking event space with interpretation, videoconferencing/teleconferencing services.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master of political science, law, international development, economics, finance, business administration, project management, social sciences, engineering, applied sciences, or similar;
    • Must have at least 5 years, (60 months) of international development project delivery experience as a Project Coordinator. The 60 months can be counted in a maximum of 2 projects, with donors such as Global Affairs Canada, USAID, GIZ, etc.
    • Selected projects as Project Coordinator within the 5 years, (60 months) must have a total value at or above 1 million CAD.

    Required project experience that we will be looking for on your CV:

    • Facilitating communication between stakeholders to clarify requirements or resolve any queries;
    • Ensuring administrative oversight of service rendered and quality assurance of their deliverables;
    • Ensuring the quality of the reporting and invoicing for services rendered;
    • Coordinating project activities with stakeholders;
    • Administering the provision of logistical services, such as travel arrangements and event planning;
    • Arranging and confirming meetings;
    • Booking event space with interpretation, videoconferencing/teleconferencing services.
    • Integrating stakeholder priorities and needs into the planning and execution of coordinated actions.
    • Convening and facilitating project-related consultations and policy dialogue among stakeholders.
    • Liaising and coordinating with multiple stakeholders at country or regional level working in the sector targeted by the project; and
    • Working with 3 or more types of stakeholders (i.e., donors, government, civil society, private sector, academia) for an international development project.

    Project Manager

    The Role

    Please note this position is part-time, 110 days annually for the duration of the 5-year project.

    Based in Abuja, Nigeria, the FSSP Project Manager tasks include but are not limited to the following:

    • Leading the development of project documents, including Operating Procedures Manual and Annual Work Plans;
    • Ensuring quality and management oversight of all services delivered within the project, including administrative, financial and logistics management services;
    • Communicating with government authorities or their representatives and other relevant project stakeholders;
    • Ensuring cost-effectiveness of services delivered within the project;
    • Ensuring the effective management of internal monitoring of project progress and results, including dealing with project issues and problems as they arise.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master of political sciences, law, international development, economics, finance, business administration, project management, social sciences, engineering or applied sciences.
    • Must have at least 5 years, (60 months) of international development project delivery experience, as a Project Manager providing Project Manager services listed below. The 60 months can be counted in a maximum of 2 projects, with donors such as Global Affairs Canada, USAID, GIZ, etc.
    • The selected projects as Project Manager within the 5 years, (60 months) must have a total value at or above 1 million CAD.

    Required project experience that we will be looking for on your CV:

    • Working with 3 or more types of stakeholders (i.e., donors, government, civil society, private sector, academia) for an international development project.

    Finance and Administration Officer

    • Alinea is looking for a national Finance and Administration Officer based in Abuja, Nigeria to manage the Global Affairs Canada (GAC)-funded Field Support Services Project (FSSP).
    • The primary objective of the FSSP is to provide access to local technical expertise and local logistical and administrative support in Nigeria. This local technical expertise and support ensures that Canada can provide effective, efficient, high-quality, and relevant development assistance to meet development needs and priorities.

    The Role

    Based in Abuja, Nigeria, the FSSP Finance and Administration Officer tasks include but are not limited to the following:

    • Managing and monitoring the project related expenditure in accordance with approved project budget in order to ensure that project financial data are maintained in an accurate and timely manner;
    • Preparing financial reports;
    • Administering the provision of logistical services, such as arranging vehicle rental, travel arrangements, event and mission planning and management;
    • Ensuring and maintaining record keeping and filing system.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Master of business, finance, accounting or management.
    • Professional certification/designation (e.g. Certified public accountant (CPA), Certified general accountant (CGA), Chartered Financial- Analyst (CFA), etc.) in accounting or finance.
    • Must have at least 5 years, (60 months) of international development project delivery experience providing Finance and Administrative services. The 60 months can be counted in a maximum of 2 projects, with donors such as Global Affairs Canada, USAID, GIZ, etc.
    • The selected projects as Finance and Administration within the 5 years, (60 months) must have a total value at or above 1 million CAD.

    Required project experience that we will be looking for on your CV:
