Administrative details
All Monitors hired for DFID TPM activities will be contracted to ACTED then seconded to IMPACT. They will comply with ACTED’s HR policies and practices, as well as security rules and codes of conduct for each organization. Management in the field will be facilitated by IMPACT, with the staff ultimately answerable to both the ACTED Country Director and the IMPACT (REACH) country leadership.
Hiring will be on a short term as-needed, but recurring basis. Monitors can expect to work for 1 day to 4 weeks at a time with breaks (1-4 weeks) likely between contracts. Each contact will be good only for the specified data collection period in the specified location. Payment will be made at the end of each working week (for contracts longer than one week) or at the end of the contract (for contracts shorter than 1 working week); remuneration will be based on a daily wage and be given only for days worked.
Responsibilities
1. Collecting quantitative using ODK tool.
The Monitor will interview and collect data from assessment respondents at the household level using ODK on smartphones. (S)He will also be responsible for ensuring that households are accurately targeted in accordance with direction given by supervisors, and that data meets minimum quality standards.
2. Facilitate FGD and Key Informant Interviews.
The Monitor will be responsible for identifying and organizing respondents for focus group discussion, facilitating or co-facilitating the discussion and recording results.
3. Collection of locational data using GPS device
The Monitor will collection locational data, such as the location of new or existing IDP locations, using hand held GPS devices.
4. Participate in data cleaning
The Monitor will work with supervisor to ensure all data collected are properly cleaned and FGDs notes presents the true picture.
5. Any other tasks need to ensure the success of the IMPACT mission in Nigeria
The Monitor may be called upon to work on other IMPACT programmes in various locations in Nigeria including, but not limited to, remote LGA capitals, as the security situation allows
