Accountant at WorQulture

Responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
• Update account receivables and issue invoices.
• Update account payables and perform reconciliation.
• Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statement and other financial statements according to legal and company’s accounting and financial guidelines.
• Assist in reviewing expenses.
• Update financial data in database to ensure that into information will be accurate and immediately available when needed.
• Prepare and submit weekly / monthly reports.
• Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly / yearly closing.
• Assist with other accounting projects.
• Prepare tax computation and returns.
• Monitor and resolve bank issues.
• Assist in preparations and co-ordination of the audit process

Requirements

• BSc/OND/HND in accounting, finance or any relevant field.
• Proven experience in the field.
• Great attention to details.
• Good with numbers, figures and analytical acumen.
• Good understanding of accounting, financial reporting principles and practices.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office, and Excel.
• Good knowledge of any accounting software.
• Knowledge of local, state .and federal laws regarding taxation.
• Must have the mandatory NYSC certificate
