Architect (Landscape and Masterplan Specialist) at Advanced Engineering Consultants (AEC)

Role Description

• This is a full-time on-site role for an Architect (Landscape and Masterplan Specialist) at Advanced Engineering Consultants - Nigeria located in Lagos.
• The Architect will be responsible for design of urban spaces, landscape, developing masterplan, and the integration of landscape and masterplan projects.
• The role involves working closely with stakeholders to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions, preparing drawings and specifications, and overseeing the implementation of projects.
• The Architect will also collaborate with other professionals and multidisciplinary teams, such as engineers and surveyors, to deliver high quality projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and design landscape architecture and master planning projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to create sustainable and innovative landscape and urban designs.
• Produce detailed drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD and other design software.
• Conduct site analysis and research to inform design decisions.
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations, standards, and sustainability practices.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project objectives.
• Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in landscape and masterplan architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape and masterplan architecture.
• Proficiency in BIM CAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, D5, Blender, Unreal Engine, 3ds Max or other relevant 3D design software.
• Strong understanding of sustainable design principles and practices.
• Understanding of sustainable and environmentally-friendly design principles
• Strong knowledge and experience in architecture and architectural design
• Excellent communication, Collaboration, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
