Duties & Responsibilities

ASSET DISPOSAL

• The Asset Disposal Officer has the main duty to monitor the corporate asset accounts.
• Maintains the effective business relationships with the third party buyers of assets for disposal.
• Secure approvals from Management/Asset Disposal Committee for the proposed disposal amounts on assets.
• Midwife the bidding process for assets that qualify for disposal including arranging the schedule for the bidding of assets when required.
• He also has the responsibility to do the work of documentation so as to journalize all disposed assets properly taking into active consideration the relevant asset details.
• The Asset Disposal Officer has the duty to present the prepared reports to the Fleet Manager and other relevant officers regarding monthly asset disposals as well as  Provide weekly reports through Credit control on assets disposed and in custody for Management weekly meeting.
• Assists the Facility Manager in ensuring that all items are properly tagged, slotted, and logged into the Asset Inventory Log.
• Attends meetings as required by Fleet Manager.
• Tracks all assets including attributes such as vendor, model, serial number, type, cost, location, etc.
• Additional duties include performing basic feasibility and cost-benefit analysis.
• Manages asset reconciliation and asset disposal agreements.
• Oversees asset disposal agent contract negotiation and contract renewals.
• Any other duty as assigned.
• Liaise with Credit Control Recovery Unit on repossessed assets. This includes receipt of repossessed assets

FLEET ANALYST

• Create and enforce policies for effective data management
• Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
• Investigate, correct and report to the Manager any inconsistencies or improprieties.
• Recommend and establish efficient ways to organize, store and analyze data with attention to security and confidentiality.
• Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with Fleet Manager and the other sub-units within the fleet department.
•  Review business process and departmental policies to help enhance workflow
• Work with Fleet Manager and HR to review job responsibilities and alter employee tasks based on departmental needs
• Evaluate operations procedures and processes
• Provide critical assessment of all budgets and cost projections in the department
• Assess all incoming products, resources, and services to ensure it’s gotten at the best price.
• Remain acutely aware of market trends that could impact resource costs
• Analyze invoices to ensure correct products/services were received at expected
