    Associate

    Job Summary:

    • The successful candidate will provide legal services to clients and contribute to our firm’s knowledge base.
    • Responsibilities include legal research, legal drafting, legal advice, and participating in proceedings and transactions.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law to support case preparation and advisory work.
    • Draft and review legal documents (contracts, pleadings, motions, briefs, letters).
    • Assist in preparing cases for trial and organizing relevant materials.
    • Participate in negotiations and provide legal support in transactions.
    • Communicate with clients, provide updates, and address inquiries.
    • Analyze laws and precedents to develop legal strategies.
    • Review court judgments and distill points for further action
    • Represent clients in various legal proceedings (court, tribunals, administrative and other panels).
    • Perform legal due diligence to support transactions.
    • Stay updated on legal developments relevant to practice areas.
    • Uphold ethical standards in all interactions.
    • Perform other duties as required.
    • The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate should be a bright, talented and passionate young lawyer who possesses the qualifications, skills and attributes listed below. 

    Academic Qualification:

    • LLB degree (minimum Second Class Upper Division)
    • BL Certificate (minimum Second Class Upper Division)
    • Membership in relevant professional bodies (CIArb, NCIArb, ICSAN, ICSA, BRIPAN, IPLAN, etc.) will be an advantage.

    Required Skills/Attributes:

    • 3-5 years of post-call experience.
    • Experience or demonstrated interest in entertainment, media, and IP law.
    • Strong work ethic and professional accountability.
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • Analytical and critical thinking abilities.
    • Good negotiation skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
