Back-End Developer at MAXUT Consulting Limited

JOB SUMMARY 

The Back-End Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic, databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of building scalable and secure applications. 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION   

Server-Side Development: 

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable server-side code. 
• Develop and integrate APIs for seamless communication between front-end and back-end systems. 
• Implement security and data protection measures. 

Database Management: 

• Design and optimize database schemas. 
• Ensure data integrity and optimize query performance. 
• Perform database migrations, backups, and restores. 

Application Performance: 

• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. 
• Monitor and troubleshoot server performance issues. 

Collaboration and Integration: 

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. 
• Work closely with cybersecurity experts to ensure the highest level of security in all applications. 
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team best practices. 

 Continuous Improvement: 

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies. 
• Continuously improve development processes and methodologies. 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/WORK EXPERIENCE 

• Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a back-end developer, preferably in the  cybersecurity industry. 

SKILL/ COMPETENCY REQUIRED 

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in server-side languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Ruby. 
• Database Management: Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB). 
• API Development: Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs. 
• Security: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices for securing web applications. 
• Version Control: Proficiency in using Git for version control. 
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Team Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Feature Delivery: Timely delivery of new features and updates as per project timelines. 
• System Scalability: Ensure that applications can scale effectively to handle increased load.
