We seek an efficient and skilled Bid/Proposal Analyst to join our team at African Star Energy Services Ltd

• As a Bid/Proposal Analyst, you will lead the bid process, from opportunity identification to proposal submission.
• This includes ensuring the timely submission of high-quality proposals that meet client requirements, managing the bid budget and resources effectively and establishing compliance with all requirements and guidelines. The Bid Analyst will also uphold an understanding of market trends and competitor activity to inform bid strategy.

Job Description 

• Identify and evaluate new business opportunities through market research and client need assessment.
• Lead and coordinate the bid management process.
• Develop compelling and persuasive bid content, including executive summaries, value propositions, pricing models and technical responses.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, operations and subject matter experts, to gather information and develop bid strategies.
• Coordinate and facilitate bid review meetings.
• Work with relevant departments to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with bid requirements and profitability targets.
• Continuously refine and improve bid processes, templates and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market insights and emerging best practices in bid management.

Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline
• Minimum of 5 years experience as a Bid/Proposal Analyst in the oil and gas sector is a must
• Proficiency in using bid management software, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Corel Draw).
• Being well acquainted with the oil and gas market, contract laws, regulations and registration portals such as Ariba, NIPEX, NCDMB, NUPRC & NMDPRC
• Experience in managing bids for complex projects or large-scale contracts in the oil & gas industry.
