    Business Development (HR Consultant)

    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Business Development role is crucial in generating new business opportunities and driving sales for the firm. The Business Development Executive will identify potential clients, understand their HR needs, and offer tailored HR solutions and consulting services. Also responsible for building strong relationships with clients, effectively communicates the value proposition of the firm's services, and contributes to the overall growth and success of the organization.

    Business Development:

    • Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities.
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to attract and acquire new clients.
    • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
    • Conduct market research to stay updated with industry trends and competitors.

    Client Relationship Management:

    • Build strong relationships with new and existing clients.
    • Understand client's needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
    • Ensure high client satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly.

    Market Research:

    • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, client needs, and competitor analysis, providing insights for business development initiatives.

    Proposal Preparation:

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive and compelling proposals that address client requirements and differentiate our services.
    • Formulate effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and penetrate new markets, including pricing, positioning, and go-to-market plans.

    Contract Negotiation:

    • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions that align with the company's objectives.

    Sales and Revenue Generation:

    • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
    • Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to potential clients.
    •  Negotiate and close deals, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to develop pricing strategies and proposals.

    Collaboration and Teamwork:

    • Collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
    • Provide input and feedback to enhance product offerings and service quality.
    • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company and establish professional connections.

    SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

    Skills:

    • Business Development Strategies: Understanding various business development strategies, including market analysis, lead generation, and sales forecasting.
    • Human Resources Practices: Familiarity with HR policies, recruitment and selection processes, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
    • Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the industry in which the organization operates, including competitors, regulations, and emerging trends.
    • Employment Laws and Regulations: Understanding of relevant employment laws, compliance requirements, and ethical practices in HR management.
    • Market Research: Knowledge of market research techniques and tools to gather and analyze data on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence.
    • Financial Understanding: Basic knowledge of financial concepts, such as revenue, profitability, budgeting, and cost management.
    • Business Planning: Ability to develop and execute business plans aligned with organizational goals and strategies.
    • Technology and Tools: Proficiency in using relevant business development and HR software, CRM systems, project management tools, and analytics platforms

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATOR:

    • Revenue Generation: Measure the amount of revenue generated through successful business development initiatives, new client acquisitions, and sales closures.
    • Client Acquisition and Retention: Track the number of new clients acquired and the retention rate of existing clients.
    • Business Expansion: Monitor the growth and expansion of the organization's market presence, such as entering new markets or expanding existing ones.
    • Strategic Partnerships: Evaluate the number and quality of strategic partnerships or alliances established to drive business growth.
    • Employee Recruitment and Retention: Assess the effectiveness of recruitment efforts, such as time-to-fill positions, quality of hires, and employee retention rates.
    • Employee Engagement and Satisfaction: Measure employee engagement levels and satisfaction through surveys or feedback mechanisms.
    • Training and Development: Monitor the effectiveness of training and development programs by assessing employee skill enhancement and performance improvement.
    • HR Metrics: Track HR metrics such as time-to-hire, employee turnover rate, absenteeism rate, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.
    • Project Performance: Assess the successful completion of business development and HR projects within defined timelines and budget constraints.
    • Customer Satisfaction: Measure customer satisfaction levels through feedback surveys, Net Promoter Score (NPS), or customer retention rates.

    EDUCATION:

    • Higher National Diploma ( HND/) Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred).

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Minimum of 2-5 years experience in Business Development, Sales or similar role with Human Resource experience.
    •  Additional certifications or specialized training in business development or HR can enhance the candidate's qualification
    • ·Track record of successful business development and sales achievements.
    • Experience in building and maintaining client relationships.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing projects, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering successful outcomes within defined timelines and budgets is valuable.
    • Familiarity with HR practices, policies, and procedures is essential. Experience in areas such as recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and talent development is beneficial.
