    Business Development Manager – Cloud Training, Consulting & Contracting

    Job Overview:

    TheITern is seeking a results-driven and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to lead the growth of its Cloud Training, Consulting, and Contracting services. This role is designed for an individual who will work independently, overseeing all aspects of business development, client relations, and operations until the company scales and teams can be hired. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud technologies, business development expertise, and the ability to execute strategies that drive global market growth.

    The Business Development Manager will take full ownership of building theITern’s client base, developing partnerships, and ensuring the success of cloud services delivery. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely, with a focus on expanding the company’s global presence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Business Development and Market Expansion:

    • Identify new business opportunities and markets for theITern’s Cloud Training, Consulting, and Contracting services, focusing on AWS, Azure, and GCP solutions.
    • Develop and execute strategies to grow the client base and generate revenue across different regions.
    • Build relationships with educational institutions, corporate clients, and government agencies to offer cloud training programs and consulting services.
    • Drive business expansion into new regions and industries, securing long-term contracts and projects.
    • Research and analyze market trends, competitors, and potential growth areas to stay ahead of industry developments.

    Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

    • Take full ownership of client outreach, managing end-to-end sales cycles from lead generation to contract negotiation and closing.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their cloud needs and offering tailored solutions to meet their goals.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all client interactions, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and trust.
    • Create proposals, RFP responses, and presentations to showcase theITern’s services to potential clients.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements, ensuring mutual benefit and long-term partnerships.

    Strategic Planning and Execution:

    • Work closely with the CEO to set business growth targets and define strategies for achieving them.
    • Develop a clear roadmap for scaling theITern’s services, including Cloud Training, Consulting, and Contracting, to capture a global market share.
    • Prioritize growth initiatives based on market research, potential ROI, and business needs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
    • Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for business development and report on progress regularly.

    Operational Oversight (Interim Role):

    • Manage day-to-day operations related to cloud service delivery, including coordinating virtual training programs and consulting projects.
    • Ensure smooth execution of training schedules, resource allocation, and client support, with a focus on quality and consistency.
    • Handle client onboarding, ensuring that all materials, communications, and expectations are aligned.
    • Coordinate with freelancers or contractors if necessary, ensuring project deadlines and client expectations are met.

    Financial Management:

    • Develop pricing strategies for theITern’s services that balance profitability with client satisfaction.
    • Monitor and manage the budget for business development activities, ensuring cost-efficiency in operations.
    • Prepare financial reports for the CEO, detailing revenue generated, expenses, and forecasts for business growth.

    Marketing and Outreach (Interim Role):

    • Develop simple marketing initiatives (e.g., LinkedIn outreach, social media posts, email campaigns) to increase visibility of theITern’s services.
    • Use digital tools and platforms to promote the company’s services to target audiences.
    • Build the brand identity of theITern, positioning it as a leader in cloud training and consulting services globally.

    Scaling and Team Building:

    • As the business grows, identify opportunities to hire and build specialized teams in marketing, operations, sales, and technical roles.
    • Develop job descriptions, lead recruitment efforts, and onboard new team members to support the company’s expanding operations.

    Key Qualifications and Skills:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related fields. A technical background or cloud certification is a plus.
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or operations, with a focus on cloud services or IT consulting.
    • Self-Starter: Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive business growth without a formal team in place.
    • Global Market Experience: Proven ability to develop and manage business across multiple regions, with experience in the cloud industry being a strong advantage.
    • Cloud Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), IT consulting, and the contracting market.
    • Client Relations: Excellent client management skills, with a proven track record of building long-term partnerships and closing deals.
    • Strategic Thinker: Ability to develop and execute strategies that drive business growth, with strong analytical and decision-making skills.
    • Financial Acumen: Experience with budgeting, pricing strategies, and financial planning.
    • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to pitch and present business proposals effectively.
    • Adaptability: Comfortable taking on multiple roles (business development, operations, marketing) in the early stages until teams can be built.
