    Business Development Manager - Health Sector

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Strategic Planning: Create and implement Annual Business Development plans for the Company. Use data to design & drive client enrollment/engagement activities, correct courses of action, identify trends, and support recommendations to Management for future product/service development and improvements.
    • Business Development Activities: Cultivate the company Client Pipeline, boost patient/client/sales figures and contribute to company’s long-term business growth.
    • Team Leadership: Coordinate, direct and manage the activities of others responsible for developing business for the Company.
    • Research, identify and build relationships with potential clients and decision-makers within the client population, associations or organizations to penetrate new markets
    • Initiate and coordinate the development of actionable business plans and sales strategies for the target market to ensure attainment of company sales, budgets and profitability goals
    • Cold calls as appropriate within assigned market or geographic area to ensure the development and support of a robust pipeline of opportunities
    • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining and leveraging on existing or developed networks
    • Arrange and attend meetings to present the Company to potential clients or decision-makers

    Requirements

    • BSc or HND in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
    • A Master’s degree or relevant professional qualifications will be a definite advantage
    • Broad understanding of the Nigerian Healthcare Market, the solutions/services the Company provides especially in the medical diagnostics space
    • Minimum of 5 years proven experience in business development, sales or similar role in a reputable organization in the retail Medical or Occupational Healthcare/Wellness space; with at least 4 years spent in developing new sales leads from cold calls, qualifying sales opportunities from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas
    • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
    • Good business sense and a sound work ethic
