    Business Development Manager

    The Company 

     Our client is a digital education platform that provides academics and educators worldwide with competitive and transparently priced, high-quality content. They are a customer-centric organisation focused on providing advanced user-friendly technologies and services to satisfy its customers’ broad publishing needs. 

    Job Type, Contract - 3 months duration 

     We are looking for a qualified, self-directing, and thorough researcher versed in the use of extensive research methodologies to provide useful insights by gathering information, analysing data and presenting findings for business decisions. 

    Responsibilities 

    • Analyse and interpret patterns and trends.  

    • Anticipate research issues and provide prompt solutions. 

    • Conduct desktop research and use journal articles, books, newspaper sources, interviews, questionnaires, polls and surveys to gather data. 

    • Develop a work plan that satisfies requirements for interpreting research specifications. 

    • Record findings using appropriate software. 

    • Write proposals and deliver presentations when required. 

    • Maintain and protect electronic databases. 

    Location- Lagos, Nigeria / Remote work option available  

    Compensation- Base pay plus commission 

    Requirements 

    • A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, economics, business or a similar field. 

    • A Master’s degree (gives an added advantage). 

    • A minimum of 5 years working experience in a research field. 

    • Practical experience in database management. 

    • Proficiency in the use of MS Office. 

    • Excellent problem-solving skills. 

    • Strong knowledge of statistical methods. 

    • Attention to detail and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

    Job Type, Full Time Employment 

     We are looking for a determined and enthusiastic Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele by applying an effective sales strategy and building strong networks. 

    Responsibilities 

    •  Plan, develop and oversee the overall business development strategy. 

    • Develop a growth strategy focused on both customer satisfaction and financial gain. 

    • Develop sales strategy and onboard new customers. 

    • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives. 

    • Conduct research to identify new market and customer needs. 

    • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines. 

    • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients. 

    • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers. 

    • Build strong relationships with industry professionals, competitors, vendors and other personnel. 

    Location- Lagos, Nigeria / Flexible hours   

    Compensation- Competitive salary package 
     

    Requirements 

    •  BSc/BA/HND in business administration, sales or relevant field. 

    • A minimum of 10 years working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or relevant role. 

    • Proven sales track record. 

    • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software. 

    • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication. 

    • Effective time management and planning skills. 

    • In-depth market knowledge. 

    • Excellent negotiation skills.
