    Commercial Manager

    Job Summary

    The Commercial Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding client base, and establishing strategic partnerships. The ideal person would have a deep understanding of the lending industry and a proven track record in business development for extending credit to risk assets for MSMEs and large corporates. 

    Responsibilities

    • Generate leads and actively pursue new client relationships
    • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential clients within MSMEs and large corporates through networking, outreach, and relationship-building activities.
    • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
    • Monitor sales metrics and key performance indicators to assess and improve sales performance.
    • Identify and establish strategic partnerships with key industry players, financial institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
    • Assess credit risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
    • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the profitability and performance of lending products and initiatives.
    • Collaborate with brands marketing and communications, product development, and operations teams to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.
    • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends.
    • Utilize data analytics to gain insights into customer behavior and preferences.
    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends within the lending fintech industry.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field. A master's degree is an added advantage.
    • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the fintech industry, with a focus on lending, in-depth knowledge of lending products, financial services, and industry regulations.
    • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar role.
    • Proven business development, partnership acquisition or marketing experience
    • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
    • Goal-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. 
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
