    Content Acquisition Manager

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Your key responsibilities will be to:

    • Conduct market research to identify new movie titles, trends, and emerging filmmakers.
    • Analyze industry data, sales reports, and audience preferences to inform acquisition decisions.
    • Screen and evaluate movie submissions, including feature films, documentaries, and short films.
    • Supervise the Content Acquisition Assistants to assess the commercial potential and fit of potential acquisitions.
    • Build and maintain relationships with filmmakers, producers, agents, and content providers.
    • Attend film festivals, industry events, and screenings to network and discover new talent and content opportunities.
    • Provide support and advice to Executive Management on content acquisition and licensing operations as needed.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s Degree/Higher National Diploma in Film Studies, Theater Arts, Media, or in a related field.
    • 3-year proven experience in Content Review and Acquisition role.
    • Professional qualifications, certifications, and memberships are an added advantage.
    • Proficient in the use of Google Workspace.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Previous experience in content acquisition, film distribution, or a related role is required.
    • Strong knowledge of the film industry, market trends, and distribution channels.
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
    • Excellent time management and organization skills.
    • Ability to work with minimal or zero supervision.
