    Corporate Finance Analyst

    Job Summary:

    • The Corporate Finance Analyst will play a key role in supporting the financial strategy of the company. This role involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and supporting strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

    Responsibilities:

    Financial Analysis:

    • Analyze financial statements and performance metrics to provide insights and recommendations.
    • Conduct financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
    • Evaluate historical financial data to identify trends and variances.
    • Analyze the financial impact of various business initiatives and decisions.

    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    •  Assist in the preparation and management of the company’s annual budget.
    • Develop financial forecasts and track performance against budgeted targets.
    • Participate in quarterly and annual financial planning processes.
    •  Provide detailed variance analysis and explanations for deviations from budget.

    Reporting:

    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Present financial data and insights to senior management and other stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance.
    • Prepare ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as needed.

    Investment Analysis:

    • Evaluate potential investment opportunities and provide recommendations based on financial analysis.
    • Conduct due diligence and financial analysis for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
    •  Analyze the financial feasibility and ROI of capital projects and investments.
    • Monitor and report on the performance of investments and capital expenditures.

    Strategic Planning:

    • Support the development and implementation of the company’s financial strategy.
    • Provide analytical support for strategic projects and initiatives.
    • Assist in the preparation of business plans and strategic documents.
    • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategic decision-making.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify and analyze financial risks and opportunities.
    • Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks and capitalize on opportunities.
    •  Monitor financial markets and economic trends to anticipate potential impacts on the company.
    • Ensure appropriate risk management strategies are in place for financial instruments and contracts.

    Compliance and Controls:

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and procedures.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain documentation and support for all financial transactions and reporting.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Engage with various stakeholders, including banks, investors, and regulatory authorities.
    • Provide financial insights and reports to support stakeholder decision-making.
    • Maintain positive relationships with external partners and financial institutions.
    • Represent the company in financial discussions and negotiations.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate finance or a related field within the logistics and supply chain environment.
    • Membership to the any of the professional bodies ICAN, ACCA, CFA, CIMA.
    • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, or a related field (desired).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in financial modeling techniques.
    • Proficiency in financial databases or ERP systems
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
    • Strong work ethic with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and tax laws is a strong plus.
    • Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain industry dynamics is preferred.
