Crane Operator at African Industries Group (AIG)

Job Description

• The successful candidate will be responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, position, or place machinery, equipment, and other large objects at the plan. This role requires strict adherence to safety protocols and a high level of precision in operating various types of cranes.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and other heavy equipment with precision and safety.
• Maintain the visibility of the cabin with regular cleaning.
• Communicate effectively with the operational team through interpreting hand and verbal signals.
• Study and understand weight limits to ensure safety activities.
• If any abnormalities and struggles in operations immediately communicate with the maintenance team.
• Understand the emergency operation and conditional controlling parameters.
• Understand and adhere to workplace safety policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an HND or OND
• Certification as a Crane Operator from a recognized institution is an added advantage
• Proven experience operating mobile, tower, or overhead cranes in a construction or industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of load charts, crane capacity, and safety procedures.
