    Director of Impact (NGO)

    Job Summary: 

    • The Director of Impact at the company will play a crucial role in driving the company's mission by leading fundraising efforts, managing donor relations, and overseeing impactful projects.
    • The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in business development, project management, and the NGO sector, with a proven track record in fundraising and managing donor funds.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory, as it is a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with donors and stakeholders.

    Responsibilities

    Fundraising and Donor Management:

    • Develop and execute ambitious fundraising strategies and programs with  measurable goals.
    • Identify, cultivate, and steward prospective donors, including foundations, government agencies, corporate partners, and individuals.
    • Manage and oversee grant writing and proposal development processes.
    • Establish fundraising targets and monitor performance, ensuring annual fundraising goals are met or exceeded.
    • Maintain accurate grants management records and track deadlines, deliverables, and action items.
    • Communicate directly with existing funders in coordination with program teams, maintaining and strengthening these relationships.

    Business Development and Partnerships:

    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support the mission and goals of the organization
    • Develop and manage strategic partnerships and collaborations with external organizations and stakeholders.
    • Represent the organization at local, national, and international events and partner meetings to promote the organization’s mission and impact.

    Project Management:

    • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of impactful projects within the NGO.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are timely and within budget.
    • Utilize project management tools and methodologies to track progress and report on outcomes.

    Innovation and Technology:

    • Stay informed about the latest technological advancements relevant to the NGO sector.
    • Review and evaluate software applications and other technological solutions used in NGO projects.
    • Support the integration of innovative technologies to enhance project impact and efficiency.

    Communication and Liaison:

    • Serve as a credible and compelling spokesperson for the company’s mission, vision, and goals.
    • Communicate complex information clearly and assertively to diverse audiences, including donors, stakeholders, and team members.
    • Exhibit a high level of emotional and social intelligence to navigate the intricacies of donor relations and stakeholder management.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
    • MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred.
    • 8+ years of experience in business development, project management, and NGO operations,
    • with at least some experience in fundraising.
    • Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing fundraising strategies.
    • Strong experience in managing donor funds and reporting to stakeholders.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • High level of emotional and social intelligence, with the ability to build and maintain
    • relationships.
    • Broad understanding of innovation and the ability to grasp complex software quickly.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
    • Age range, 33–39 years.

    Person Specification:

    • Presentable and professional appearance.
    • Strong liaison and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Solid organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Experience with database software, CRM, and related tools.
    • Network in and/or exposure to working with corporate philanthropy, foundations, NGOs, and government agencies are preferred.
