    Director of Marketing and Sales

    Job Summary:

    • We are looking for a proven leader to define and build a world-class marketing program.
    • You will shape and improve how we reach, attract, and impact clients by working together with the team to produce resources and experiences that demonstrate Welcome2Africa’s value.
    • The ideal candidate is a well-rounded, result driven marketer with experience in investments, agriculture and maritime sectors with a passion for delivering impactful programs and tailoring value proposition to diverse prospects.

    Job Description:

    Strategic Business Development

    • Define, own and deliver a fully integrated marketing strategy for the company
    • Proactively identify and pursue strategic business opportunities by engaging with key industry leaders, C-suite executives, and decision-makers.
    • Conduct in-depth market research to understand industry trends, competitors, and client needs, using these insights to develop tailored solutions and innovative offerings.
    • Formulate and execute strategies to enter new markets, forge partnerships, and enhance W2A’s reputation as a trusted and innovative digital marketing partner.
    • Work closely with the Marketing department to align agency & product positioning across all external messaging

    Strategic Sales Leadership

    • Take a leadership role in shaping the strategic direction of our sales efforts, overseeing the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals.
    • Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to expand our market presence, drive revenue growth.
    • Provide mentorship, guidance, and coaching to the sales team, fostering a high-performance culture

    Customized Solutions and Client Engagement

    • Promote and organize corporate programs and events across multiple sectors
    • Develop and present high-impact proposals, pitches, and presentations that showcase W2A’s expertise and unique value proposition.
    • Lead qualification efforts, conducting in-depth discussions with potential clients to uncover their goals, challenges, and vision.
    • Act as a trusted advisor, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of our services and guiding clients towards solutions that drive significant results for their businesses.

    Client Relationship Management

    • Cultivate and nurture strong, long-lasting relationships with partners, ensuring exceptional experiences and adding consistent value.
    • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their evolving requirements and align our services to meet their strategic objectives effectively.

    Pipeline Management and Reporting

    • Utilize advanced reporting tools to manage the sales pipeline meticulously, ensuring accurate forecasting and timely follow-ups.
    • Overseeing the overall maintenance of the CRM system
    • Provide regular and insightful updates to the leadership team, contributing to data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
    • Implement data-driven approaches to optimize sales processes, enhance efficiency, and maximize revenue generation.

    Industry Engagement and Thought Leadership

    • Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and meetings to enhance our visibility and network with potential partners and sponsors.
    • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices within the investment, agribusiness and maritime landscape, integrating this knowledge into our strategic initiatives.

    Cross-Departmental Collaboration

    • Foster seamless collaboration and communication with internal departments, ensuring a deep understanding of Direct Agents' capabilities and solutions.
    • Facilitate a culture of shared knowledge and insights, promoting a unified client experience and maximizing the impact of our services across various client engagements.
    • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to align sales efforts with overall business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction

    Job Requirements:

    • Proficiency in visionary storytelling, content creation and content marketing, events and conferences demand generation, and multi-channel programs
    • Expertise in marketing technology and sales enablement
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal teams
    • Proven success working closely with sales team, including disciplined follow-ups, joint planning and execution and earning trust as a strategic business partner
    • Record of publications in recognized peer-reviewed journals
    • Outstanding presentation and communication skills.
    • Startup mentality and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
    • Knowledge of marketing and sales technologies e.g Zoho CRM.
