    Experienced Associate – Finance and Projects (Transport & Infrastructure)

    Job Summary

    • The candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and support in the power and electricity industry.
    • This role involves understanding the Nigerian Electricity Sector, ensuring regulatory compliance, drafting, and negotiating industry contracts especially Power Purchase Agreements, managing legal aspects of project development, preparing legal opinions on industry issues, and advising on governmental relations.
    • The ideal candidate will play a key role in mitigating legal risks, conducting due diligence, and staying informed about legal developments in the power sector.

    Qualification

    • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL)

    Experience

    • Minimum of 4 – 6 years’ of proven experience in the Power Sector.

    Personnel Specification

    • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and legal issues in the power and electricity industry.
    • Strong problem solving, listening, and learning skills and analytical thinking;
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
    • Excellent interpersonal skills;
    • Good organization, communication, and research skills;
    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; and
    • Organizational skills with an attention to detail
    • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
