    Fashion Illustrator

    Job Description

    • We are seeking a talented Fashion Illustrator with a passion for diverse styles, including traditional and contemporary fashion, to bring our creative visions to life.
    • The ideal candidate will work closely with our design team to translate concepts into detailed and visually stunning illustrations, highlighting the beauty of African native styles, bespoke garments, and intricate bridal designs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Create high-quality, detailed fashion illustrations that capture the essence of native, ready-to-wear, bespoke, and wedding designs.
    • Work with fashion designers to visualize collections, focusing on traditional African attire, contemporary fashion, and wedding gowns.
    • Develop both hand-drawn and digital sketches for presentations, marketing materials, and design references.
    • Collaborate with pattern makers and other members of the production team to ensure designs are accurately interpreted.
    • Research and stay updated on current fashion trends, particularly in native and wedding attire, to inspire and inform designs.
    • Revise illustrations based on feedback from designers and clients, ensuring high standards and attention to detail.
    • Assist in creating mood boards, fabric choices, and color palettes for seasonal collections.

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a fashion illustrator, with a focus on native, bespoke, and bridal fashion (Portfolio required).
    • Proficiency in both traditional and digital illustration techniques (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software).
    • Strong understanding of native African fashion, including fabric textures, garment construction, and embellishments.
    • Creative flair with an eye for intricate details, especially in wedding and bespoke designs.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a fashion illustrator (Portfolio required).
    • A degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Illustration, Fine Arts, or a related field.
    • Experience in the Lagos fashion scene, with knowledge of current trends in native and wedding attire.
    • Prior work experience in a fashion house or design studio focused on bespoke or wedding fashion.
    • Passion for African culture, textiles, and contemporary design.
