    Field Service Officer (Maritime)

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and coordinate all field operations related to marine logistics, ensuring compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
    • Monitor and manage vessel maintenance activities, including regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and adherence to quality standards.
    • Lead and manage the crew members involved in marine operations, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
    • Ensure crew members adhere to safety protocols and best practices.
    • Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness in marine logistics operations.
    • Implement strategies and procedures to optimize processes and minimize downtime.
    • Maintain accurate records of vessel activities, crew schedules, maintenance logs, incident reports, and other relevant documentation.
    • Prepare regular reports on operational performance, maintenance activities, and crew performance.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to marine operations and safety.
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including project managers, supply chain teams, and client representatives, to ensure smooth coordination of marine operations and timely delivery of services.
    • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure necessary equipment, materials, and services for marine operations.
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans for marine incidents or accidents. Coordinate and support emergency response activities as needed.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years proven experience in marine logistics operations, particularly in the Niger Delta Area.
    • Strong knowledge of marine vessel maintenance and crew management.
    • Membership in professional associations related to the maritime industry is highly desirable
    • Familiarity with relevant maritime regulations, safety protocols, and industry best practices.
    • Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Proficiency in computer systems and software related to marine operations and documentation.
