Field Technician at Galooli

• We are looking for an enthusiastic self-driven person. Technicians typically have a variety of duties and responsibilities to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of remote monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and configure remote monitoring systems at client sites.
• Ensure proper integration of hardware and software components.
• Conduct initial testing to verify system functionality.
• Perform regular maintenance checks on monitoring equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hardware and software issues.
• Provide technical support to clients, addressing any system malfunctions or performance issues.
• Monitor and analyze data collected by remote systems.
• Ensure accurate data logging and reporting.
• Implement data backup procedures to prevent loss.
• Provide training to clients on how to use and interpret data from the monitoring systems.
• Respond to customer inquiries and technical support requests in a timely manner.
• Conduct site visits for hands-on support and troubleshooting.
• Implement firmware and software updates to enhance system functionality.
• Upgrade hardware components as necessary to maintain system performance.
• Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Maintain detailed records of system installations, maintenance activities, and service reports.
• Document all troubleshooting and repair activities for future reference.
• Work closely with other technicians, engineers, and project managers to ensure seamless operations.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and resolve any issues.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in remote monitoring technology.
• Propose and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
• Participate in training programs to continuously develop technical skills.
• Be available for on-call support during emergencies or critical system failures.
• Quickly respond to and resolve urgent issues to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols during installation and maintenance activities.
• Implement security measures to protect the integrity of monitoring systems and data

Qualifications:

• B.ENG/BSC/HND In engineering or sciences (Electrical, Mechanical, Physics or Computer)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical operations as an engineer or technician preferably in the telecom sector.
• Relevant certifications in engineering are an added advantage.
• Knowledge of the use of computer and working with software is mandatory.
• Ownership of operational vehicle is mandatory.
