Fleet Officer at Quality Foods Africa

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Fleet Officer at Quality Foods Africa Group. The Fleet Officer will be responsible for managing and coordinating the overall operations and maintenance of fleet vehicles. The Fleet officer ensures that the fleet is running efficiently, vehicles are well-maintained, and drivers are following safety protocols.

Job Description includes

• Fleet Maintenance - Overseeing the maintenance and repair of all fleet vehicles, and ensuring all vehicles are in safe operating condition.
• Vehicle Acquisition - Managing the acquisition of new vehicles, bikes, trucks etc, for the fleet, including researching and negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Fuel Management - Monitoring fuel consumption.
• Drivers' Management - Supervising and training fleet drivers to ensure they comply with safety regulations.
• Fleet Reporting - Providing regular reports on fleet performance, including vehicle utilization, maintenance costs, fuel consumption, and driver performance.
• Compliance and Regulatory - Ensuring fleet compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and licensing requirements, such as vehicle registration, insurance, and safety inspections.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as logistics, or transportation management is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in procurement and supply chain management
• Knowledge of fleet management software
• Experience in the food or logistics industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
