    Graduate Trainee Welder

    Job Description:

    • We are looking for a qualified and experienced Graduate Trainee Welder to join our dynamic team.
    • The ideal applicant will be involved in undergoing structured training and development to become proficient in welding techniques and processes.

    Key Duties/Responsibilities (Summary):

    • Perform all welding for all construction activity within and outside the base
    • Preparing working materials by clamping, cutting or applying chemical solutions to piping
    • Performing pre-weld tests to ensure that materials are ready for welding
    • Operate and use power saws, chipping knife and hand shears in cutting, bevelling and contouring metal work during work activities.
    • Assembling, installing and repairing pipe components and systems according to specifications
    • Have the ability to conduct work assignments to determine appropriate welding methods and equipment
    • Set up and operate requisite hand and power tools common to the welding activities Fit and assemble structural templates and pipes from materials, such as angle iron, I-beams, and plate steel.
    • Layout parts dimensions on worktable, using square and chalk line.

    Requirements, Qualifications and Skills:

    • Graduate Degree Certificate (B.Eng., B. Tech or B.SC).
    • Basic knowledge on engineering drawings.
    • Excellent in Documentation and Reporting.
    • Ability to learn to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand the specifications and requirements for each welding job.
