    Head, Human Resources and Admin

    Job Description

    • Develop and implement human resource management policies and strategies to aid the achievement of the organization’s objectives.
    • Conduct periodic review of HR-related policies to ensure continued alignment with the organization’s strategy.
    • Organise surveys to identify engagement levels and develop recommendations for management’s consideration.
    • Provide leadership support for the unit; facilitate development; manage performance; coach and mentor subordinates for high performance.
    • Manage absence, disciplinary, grievance and sickness-related issues.
    • Manage performance appraisal across the organization. Coach managers on performance issues and processes.
    • Take responsibility for recruitment activity and campaigns; counseling managers on candidate selection, conducting and analysing exit interviews, and recommend changes.
    • Manage payroll, allowances and other entitlements for all staff of the company.
    • Maintain human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system.
    • Prepare and manage annual budget for HR and Admin operations.
    • Develop staff statistics and HR metrics for management use.
    • Lead negotiation of related service contracts; manage vendor relationships as well as other third-party service providers.
    • Supervise all administrative functions to ensure compliance to company policies and regulations while enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
    • Provide periodic reports to management on administrative activities that will serve as input to strategic decision making.
    • Drive the implementation of best-fit and effective practices across various human resource management areas including workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, compensation and benefits, career management, learning and development, employee relations in the company.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Social Sciences
    • CIPMN certification is essential.
    • MSc. or MBA in human resources management or organizational behavior would be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience, preferably in the financial industry.
    • Good knowledge of Nigerian employment laws and legislation.
    • Sound knowledge of office administration practices and procedures.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
