    Head of HR

    Job Description:

    We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Human Resources (HR) to lead and shape the people strategy for one of our clients who is in the Engineering Industry in ABUJA. As the Head of HR, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development. You will work closely with senior leadership to drive the company’s mission by fostering a positive workplace culture and implementing initiatives that align with business goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic HR Leadership:

    • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy, ensuring organizational growth and employee engagement.

    Talent Acquisition & Retention:

    • Lead recruitment efforts, succession planning, and talent management strategies to attract and retain top talent across all levels of the organization.

    Employee Relations & Culture:

    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment by managing employee relations, developing engagement programs, and promoting diversity and inclusion.

    Compliance & Policy Development:

    • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, and develop internal HR policies to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

    Performance Management & Development:

    • Design and implement effective performance management systems, ensuring employee performance is aligned with business objectives. Oversee leadership development, coaching, and training programs.

    Compensation & Benefits:

    • Oversee the design and implementation of competitive compensation structures, benefits programs, and reward initiatives that enhance employee satisfaction and retention.

    Change Management:

    • Lead organizational change efforts by developing communication and transition strategies that ensure smooth implementation of new initiatives.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Head of HR or similar senior-level HR leadership role.
    • CIPM memebership certificaation is a must.
    • In-depth knowledge of HR functions including talent management, workforce planning, organizational design, and employee relations.
    • Strong understanding of employment law and regulations.
    • Strategic thinker with the ability to align HR strategies with overall business goals.
    • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating complex HR challenges.
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree or HR certifications preferred).
