    Head of Risk

    Position Summary:

    • Oversee and manage the overall risk management framework of the organization.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure the company's financial stability and regulatory compliance.
    • Lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies, policies, and procedures.
    • Align risk management with the company’s strategic objectives.
    • Collaborate closely with senior management to integrate risk management into all business processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Risk Management Framework:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework.
    • Establish risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines that align with regulatory requirements and best practices.

    Risk Identification and Assessment:

    • Identify and assess risks across all areas of the business, including credit, market, operational, compliance, and strategic risks.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and stress testing to evaluate the impact of different risk scenarios on the company

    Risk Mitigation:

    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks.
    • Oversee the development of risk controls and contingency plans to minimize potential impacts.

    Compliance and Regulatory Management:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes and their implications for the company.
    • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

    Fraud Detection and Risk Analytics:

    • Develop and implement fraud detection strategies and systems.
    • Conduct risk analytics to identify patterns and trends that indicate potential risks.

    Risk Reporting and Communication:

    • Prepare and present regular risk reports to the CEO, Board of Directors, and senior management.
    • Communicate risk management strategies and policies to all relevant stakeholders.

    Team Leadership:

    • Lead and manage the risk management team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
    • Ensure the team has the necessary skills and resources to effectively manage risks.

    Skills:

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of risk management principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills.
    • Proficiency in risk management software and tools.

    Key Competencies:

    • Strategic Thinking: Ability to align risk management strategies with the company’s strategic goals.
    • Leadership: Strong leadership skills to guide and develop the risk management team.
    • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing complex risk scenarios and developing effective mitigation strategies.
    • Decision Making: Capable of making informed decisions under pressure.
    • Communication: Excellent ability to communicate risk-related information to diverse stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM, CFA) is preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, risk analytics, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the finance industry.
