    Hotel Accountant

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced and skilled Hotel Accountant to join our team.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling the financial activities of the hotel, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining high standards of financial discipline.

    Key Responsibilities
    Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
    • Analyze financial performance and provide insights for improvement.

    Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    • Manage and process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and minimizing bad debts.

    Budgeting and Forecasting:

    • Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
    • Monitor and control expenses, identifying areas for cost savings.

    Cash Management:

    • Manage hotel cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity and minimizing bank charges.

    Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, hotel policies, and accounting standards.

    Internal Control:

    • Maintain and enforce internal control procedures to safeguard hotel assets.

    Audits:

    • Assist in external audits, ensuring timely completion and resolving audit queries.

    Financial Analysis:

    • Provide financial analysis and support to hotel management for informed decision-making.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel accounting or similar industry.
    • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is an added advantage.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, hotel operations, and financial management.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, SUN).
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

    Working Conditions:

    • Collaborate with hotel staff and management.
