    HR/Admin Manager

    Job Theme:

    The HR manager is responsible for developing and implementing the strategy, policies and procedures required for the efficient management of the Company’s human capital to achieve the Company’s business objectives. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement the Company’s strategy for managing its human capital to ensure alignment with the corporate vision and the overall business strategy.
    • Drive planning efforts to build adequate human resources capacity to support Company’s operations
    • Manage the development and administration of policies and procedures for effective and management of the Company’s human resources, covering recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, performance appraisal, to termination/exit.
    • Manage personnel recruitment to ensure continual availability of required talent and skills 
    • Manage personnel development through proper identification of skills gap and training to close skills gap
    • Conduct periodic performance and wage reviews.
    • Facilitate timely payment of employee salaries by ensuring that monthly payroll information is generated in time
    • Ensure existence of up-to-date job description for all job positions in the Company
    • Initiate and manage periodic employee performance appraisal in line with the Company’s employee performance appraisal policy
    • Ensure effective communication within the Company to keep employees fully informed of matters including conditions of service, management’s expectations, Company programs and operations, and service procedures.
    • Manage disciplinary procedures in the Company to ensure fairness and consistency in application of sanctions
    • Manage employee welfare and nurture a positive working environment
    • Promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization.
    • Maintaining and reporting on workplace health and safety compliance.
    • Maintaining employee and workplace privacy.
    • Manage employee insurance and pension schemes to ensure compliance with labour regulations
    • Render monthly human resources management report to the Managing Director
    • Liaise with external bodies and government agencies whose activities focus on Human Resources Management and industrial relations e.g., the Chartered Institute of Personnel

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • First degree in a Social Sciences course or equivalent 
    • Possession of relevant professional qualifications will be an advantage
    • 5+ years’ experience in senior HR management positions
    • Experience in developing and driving learning and development programmes 
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Strong organizational and stress management skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly with PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
    • Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws.
    • Knowledge of the Nigerian Labour Law
