    Human Resources Business Partner

    Job Duties & Responsibilities

    • Provide overall HR Generalist support and advice to employees in consultation with and approval from the Head, Human Resources in the following areas: Career Management, Exit Management, Grievance & Discipline, Internal communications, Policy Administration and interpretation, Attraction and Recruitment.
    • Implementation of Attraction and Recruitment activities across the business. This includes: Recruitment & Selection, On boarding & Induction activities for new employees, Employee Confirmation activities
    • Engage Line Executives and other key stakeholders in determining business needs and proactively contribute to the development of strategic HR solutions in collaboration with the other line.
    • Assist the Head, HR to oversee manpower planning and employee cost budgeting processes to ensure all resource requirements are based on periodic business plans and are justified vis-à-vis revenues and growth estimates.
    • Serve as custodian and enforcer of company policies while providing framework for disciplinary engagement.
    • Support line managers at disciplinary or grievance hearings, dispute or industrial actions
    • Extent to which Human Resource Management strategies, plans and activities are implemented across the business
    • The HR Business Partner will be responsible for providing analytical expertise in support of business priorities and employment strategies within the areas of HR analytics and compensation.
    • Administers compensation program including analysis and planning ◦ Maintains compensation structure and process
    • Participates in salary surveys, gathers statistics on salaries for specific job titles and works with HR managers in setting salary ranges for open positions.
    • Provides guidance on internal equity reviews, promotions, etc. and facilitates annual merit and bonus processes
    • Facilitates annual review and updates of job descriptions
    • Provide effective business partnering services to the various lines, ensuring clear and efficient business processes are operated and communicated to the line, as well as ensuring periodical review of defined service level targets.
    • Provide guidance to line managers on HR policies, ensuring the right interpretation of the policies are applied in managing human resources in the organization and lead on the implementation of new HR policies.
    • Counsel employees on grievance issues, ensuring related activities are in line with HR policies and guidelines.
    • Collaborate with the Line Managers and Business to identify, engage and retain talents within the organization.
    • Contribute to the headcount budget process of assigned departments to ensure optimal staffing and provide input on business unit restructuring.
    • Facilitate employee road shows across the departments/locations to ensure proper employee engagement and work closely with management and staff to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
    • Review and analyze information and data with respect to human resources
    • activities within the organization and collate activity reports for submission to Head, HR/Admin.
    • Ensure implementation/review of an effective Performance Management System of individual team members and complete appraisals in accordance with the employee performance appraisal procedures and time schedules where people’s performance can be measured.
    • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual HR metrics.
    • Represent the Head, Human Resources/Admin at meetings when and where delegated to do so.
    • Periodic reporting (as and when required) to the Head, Human Resources/Admin.
    • Attendance of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Workshops, Training and meetings to update the system with new trends.
    • Other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head, Human Resources/Admin

     Educational Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:

     Educational Qualifications:

    • A first degree preferably in Social, Human and or Behavioral Sciences or any related field
    • MBA and other relevant HR Professional qualification CIPMN, CIPD, SHRM is desirable

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 4-6 years’ work experience
    • At least 4 years HR experience
