    Inventory and Procurement Officer

    Job Summary:

    • The Inventory and Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the restaurant’s inventory and procurement processes.
    • This role is crucial in ensuring that the restaurant operates efficiently, maintains cost control, and meets the quality standards of our ingredients and supplies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate inventory records for all food and beverage items.
    • Conduct regular stock checks and audits.
    • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
    • Minimize waste and manage stock rotation using the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) method.

    Procurement:

    • Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and quality.
    • Place orders for food, beverages, and other supplies as needed.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
    • Ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any issues with suppliers.

    Storekeeping:

    • Keep the store organized and clean.
    • Ensure proper storage of all items to maintain quality and safety.
    • Label and categorize items for easy identification and access.
    • Implement and maintain inventory control systems in the store.

    Cost Control:

    • Monitor and control inventory costs.
    • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
    • Prepare and analyze reports on inventory and procurement metrics.

    Compliance and Quality Assurance:

    • Ensure all procurement activities comply with health and safety regulations.
    • Maintain high standards of quality for all procured items.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and new products.

    Coordination and Communication:

    • Work closely with the kitchen and management teams to understand inventory needs.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
    • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in inventory management and procurement, preferably in the hospitality or restaurant industry.
    • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
