    Inventory Officer / Food and Beverage Auditor

    Job Overview

    • The Inventory Officer / Food and Beverage Auditor would be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records of food and beverage products within the organization.
    • It also involves regular auditing of inventory levels, tracking stock movement, and ensuring compliance with inventory management procedures and food safety regulations.

    Key Responsibilities
    Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate records of food and beverage stock levels.
    • Monitor inventory levels and reorder products as needed to prevent shortages or overstock.
    • Conduct regular stock counts and reconciliations to identify discrepancies.
    • Implement and follow inventory control procedures to minimize losses and optimize inventory turnover.

    Auditing and Reporting:

    • Perform routine audits of food and beverage inventory to verify accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
    • Generate audit reports, highlighting any discrepancies or issues discovered during audits.
    • Analyze audit findings to identify the root causes of discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.

    Quality Assurance and Food Safety:

    • Ensure that all food and beverage products meet quality standards and comply with food safety regulations.
    • Monitor expiration dates and shelf life to prevent the use of expired or spoiled items.
    • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of food safety and sanitation protocols.

    Supplier Management:

    • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries of food and beverage products.
    • Communicate with vendors regarding quality issues, pricing discrepancies, and product substitutions.
    • Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.

    Documentation and Record-Keeping:

    • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of inventory transactions, audits, and supplier communications.
    • Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management for review and decision-making.

    Training and Team Collaboration:

    • Train and supervise inventory staff, ensuring they follow inventory control and food safety protocols.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as the kitchen and purchasing, to optimize inventory processes and reduce waste.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
    • Previous experience in inventory management, food and beverage auditing, or related roles.
    • Knowledge of inventory control best practices and food safety regulations.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes physically demanding environment.
    • Knowledge of food and beverage products and their shelf life is a plus.
