    Kitchen Accountant

    500chow is seeking a detail-oriented Kitchen Accountant to manage the financial operations within our kitchen and serving areas. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial records, efficient inventory management, and maintaining high standards of quality control. As part of our finance team, you will play a key role in keeping our operations transparent, organized, and financially sound.

     Job Responsibilities

    • Accurately monitor and manage food portions and inventory levels, ensuring they align with physical counts in both kitchen and serving areas.
    • Act as the final checkpoint for product quality before they reach the serving area, upholding the highest standards.
    • Record production data using Excel to update and maintain accurate inventory quantities in the system.
    • Oversee the transfer of produced items from the kitchen to the serving area, ensuring smooth and timely operations.
    • Prepare and post reports related to kitchen losses, product variances, and other financial data into the General Ledger (GL).
    • Analyze and investigate any discrepancies or variances in inventory, reporting findings in the General Ledger (GL).
    • Allocate and post expenses related to kitchen operations and staff meals to the appropriate General Ledger (GL) accounts.
    • Manage the daily opening and closing procedures for the restaurant, ensuring all financial records are accurately maintained.
    • Report any unusual activity or misuse of products by staff, ensuring compliance with company standards.
    • Reconciliation of third parties sales data with the kitchen production record to determine overages or shortages

    Job Requirements

    • 1-3 years of Working experiences in accounting or finance roles, with focus on kitchen or hospitality finance.
    • Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
    • Must be computer literate and have interest in calculations
    • Familiarity with kitchen operations
    • Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
    • Well composed and articulate
